There are some reputable members of Basschat who regularly do that journey. Maybe title your post appropriately, someone may be helpful for the price of a pint.

There is tons of lens barrellation on the photos. The machine heads don't line up. The two outer ones curve inwards. The inlays probably look odd for the same reason. Just ask for some photos of it not taken with a Nokia 3310.

Aaand just encountered another eBay scam. Not perpetrated by sellers, but by eBay itself. They charge a "buyer protection fee" of 7.5% on everything you buy. I've just "won" something (collection only and not too far away) and asked the seller it I pay cash when I collect. He would rather I paid through eBay, so I had to pay it. Wasn't a large sum, but it sticks in my craw. Were the item being posted and there was a chance it could be lost or damaged, it wouldn't be so bad, but it's collection only, so I don't need "protection". B@stards.

I don't have a schematic for the amp, but the data sheet for the power module does identify the inputs. Is it reasonable to assume that, provided I have a voltage on the connector that carries the input to the board, that everything upstream of the power amp is working as it should?

Speaking as someone who has transported all @neepheid's basses to a bash, I would concur with his assessment of "Don't bring everything". The one very small advantage of bringing everything, including a full top box, is that when you do pop into a rather decent guitar shop in Birmingham for the first time in nine months, you are limited to only buying anything smaller than a box of matches as there is simply no space for anything larger, thereby saving money. I'm not bitter about this at all. Nope, it's not a problem at all, it's all behind me now. Rob -

We're in Andover tonight. I feel like I've rocked up at a gunfight with a battleship. This is too much amp for the venue. It's like driving a McLaren around a supermarket car park. It's sounding incredible already and it's only been on 15 minutes. I put the second cab back in the car, it's too much with 4ohms and 2x Monaco. -

Before you do anything make sure it is the power module. The fact that the MUTE button mutes the hiss suggests that the failure is not there but elsewhere. Those modules are not especially noisy on their own. Before the module there will be a preamp and a balancing circuit as the 250ASX2 is it is two amplifiers working in bridge or anti-phase.

The 12 Best Professional Sound Speakers?
Stub Mandrel replied to Phil Starr's topic in PA set up and use
It's not that difficult. You have a model that reflects the rate of cooling at the current ambient temperature, and the rate of heating at any given power level. Knowing that you can predict the net temperature change over any period. -
