  2. The Ballad of Dorothy Parker??
  3. There are some reputable members of Basschat who regularly do that journey. Maybe title your post appropriately, someone may be helpful for the price of a pint.
  4. There is tons of lens barrellation on the photos. The machine heads don't line up. The two outer ones curve inwards. The inlays probably look odd for the same reason. Just ask for some photos of it not taken with a Nokia 3310.
  5. And the annoying chrome bezel is gone too. I found it's removal made mine far, far more playable. Lovely colour combo with the AG and gold. GLWTS
  6. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
  7. Okay chums, further price drop: now £60 including p & p in the UK. These are a good set of Fender pickups with some nice midrange poke to them. Grab yourself a bargain! 😜
  8. Unused, as new & surplus to requirements in original packaging. Protective film intact. Price includes UK postage. Collection welcome.

  9. In full working condition, very slight marks. Neat Velcro applied to underside. Never gigged, surplus to requirements. Original packaging, price includes UK postage.
  10. Bumping to say this is also listed on eBay (if that's ok by the mods)
  11. Aaand just encountered another eBay scam. Not perpetrated by sellers, but by eBay itself. They charge a "buyer protection fee" of 7.5% on everything you buy. I've just "won" something (collection only and not too far away) and asked the seller it I pay cash when I collect. He would rather I paid through eBay, so I had to pay it. Wasn't a large sum, but it sticks in my craw. Were the item being posted and there was a chance it could be lost or damaged, it wouldn't be so bad, but it's collection only, so I don't need "protection". B@stards.
  12. Today
  13. I don't have a schematic for the amp, but the data sheet for the power module does identify the inputs. Is it reasonable to assume that, provided I have a voltage on the connector that carries the input to the board, that everything upstream of the power amp is working as it should?
  14. courtserve.net has the attached under Leicester Crown Court's listing for Monday 27th October. Looks like it was kicked up to Crown Court as suspected. Roll on 26th November!
  15. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.
  16. OK, I may just bring a bass or three which have curiosity value 🙂
  17. Speaking as someone who has transported all @neepheid's basses to a bash, I would concur with his assessment of "Don't bring everything". The one very small advantage of bringing everything, including a full top box, is that when you do pop into a rather decent guitar shop in Birmingham for the first time in nine months, you are limited to only buying anything smaller than a box of matches as there is simply no space for anything larger, thereby saving money. I'm not bitter about this at all. Nope, it's not a problem at all, it's all behind me now. Rob
  18. Our drummer has a pink drum kit and I don’t have a pink bass…..we do like to match where we can…..hhmm
  19. Now You're In Heaven - Julian Lennon
  20. We're in Andover tonight. I feel like I've rocked up at a gunfight with a battleship. This is too much amp for the venue. It's like driving a McLaren around a supermarket car park. It's sounding incredible already and it's only been on 15 minutes. I put the second cab back in the car, it's too much with 4ohms and 2x Monaco.
  21. Before you do anything make sure it is the power module. The fact that the MUTE button mutes the hiss suggests that the failure is not there but elsewhere. Those modules are not especially noisy on their own. Before the module there will be a preamp and a balancing circuit as the 250ASX2 is it is two amplifiers working in bridge or anti-phase.
  22. It's not that difficult. You have a model that reflects the rate of cooling at the current ambient temperature, and the rate of heating at any given power level. Knowing that you can predict the net temperature change over any period.
  23. Do you mean the USA made ones? I know those and the original Rob DeLeo signature model which active emg’s were as they had ash bodies I believe. this one is very manageable, I’ll have to get the scales on it but I wouldn’t say it is heavy at all.
  24. See pic, 4.3kg on my scales. I’ll be in Bicester next Sunday evening Monday if that’s of any help?
