NBD! A modified OLP Tony Levin 5-string Ray-a-like!

Correct. Looking at images of OLP TLs, they're all quite different. -

I'm only keeping FB because my main band uses Messenger primarily, and we get a lot of interactions with people and gig info etc through it... but I no longer really use it personally. It's become a really ugly place. The videos kept me going for a bit, it was an easy way to kill a few minutes here and there (as long as you don't go into the comments), but there's some much AI-generated crap... that was the last straw. I seem to have substituted it with Reddit. I found a few subforums that are pretty good. -

Seems like a generic 3-band Chinese EQ. There is an alternative circuit which consists of the original 2-band EQ plus a mid control - see https://andyszeugs.wordpress.com/cheapray-5-string/ for the mid control part (the 2 band EQ is Stinger, musikding kit or OSH Park PCB), but that does involve a very expensive pot. There's also a 3 band Stingray EQ clone circuit that can be found on TB (thread title "DIY Stingray 3EQ Preamp") using an OSH Park PCB. -

At least the tuners are in a straight line, unlike some monstrosities I’ve seen… -

Well this isn’t helping my recent Spector induced GAS.. I think either the 4 or 5 would work very nicely in my purple world!

It looks like some kind of bad AI thing where someone put in a list of different 'classic' bits to mash together and then the AI got very confused by the word 'horn' -

From the rhythm it could be a take on "Do nothing til you hear from me", but the melody doesn't quite match what I have in my head.

Totally agree with description about the tones from the mahogany body. Gigged with my 30th Anniversay at the weekend. Gives you the classis Stingray sound with an extra layer to the sound that other body woods don't. I would strongly recommend this bass..... as Sterling Ball did, describing it as best sounding Stingray they had made.. -
Thanks @Misdee. It is my first Spector purchase for more than a year (ohh the restrain!) and unfortunately as of yet I have no incoming Blue Burest SpecEd CST (that might change 😉 )

Goood god sometimes I feel that is much safer playing 5 strings as it seems the difference is a lot less but nevertheless, it is a great conversation starter 🙂
