Lovely basses. I’ve got a 4 and a 5 but selling the latter as two of the same is a bit silly 🤪 -

I've only had a brief play with it but cranking the gain gives a nice wooliness round the edge of the sound. There's definitely some "poke" to it which I was looking for, I'm confident there's sufficient volume here. It's a different flavour to my ABM and Bassman. I don't have any info on the cab, it has what appears to be two speakon inputs (one could be a link, not sure) and I have no idea the wattage or ohm-age but I'm guessing it's a 600w as most of these seem to be.

If you play mwah twice, does it become mwah mwah? Just asking for a friend.

This seems to be your preferred version (I love those toilet seat colours too) and you can change the bridge for a more modern one, but you won't have a through body string mounting if that's what you're looking for... Otherwise, Shuker can make you your dream Jazz Bass for, I think, a quite similar price, worth having a thought about it.

I recently purchased a Digitech Drop pedal from Nick and had a complete hassle free transaction. The pedals in perfect working condition and I got it for a very very reasonable price. Nick was great to deal with and made the whole purchase go without a hitch. I'd highly recommend

Hi Gang! Hope everyones good. Putting my Ashdown head for sale- this is from December 2024 and used half a dozen times basically and can prove it. Working perfectly and with a fresh bill of service/review by Dave at Ashdown from September 2025 (faulty input jack) so fresh and ongoing warranty. Going digital with the band (Anagram + IEMs) so no use for this sadly. The head comes with cover, mint, plus footswitch (4x button). Happy to post, or short drive.

Stingray Classic Bass in rare Lake Tahoe Blue which is very similar to Lake Placid Blue with birdseye maple fretboard and neck from 2011. The body is made of ash and it’s general condition is 9/10 for it’s age with a small mark on the front of the bass (see photos) and the usual swirls on the pickguard, weight is 4.6kg. Also comes with a standard Musicman hardcase. Price £1,850 including full insured shipping. Also happy for anyone to come around and play it in my studio in Coalisland. Sale available to people living in Northern Ireland and UK mainland only. I have also advertised the bass on Ebay and Reverb but at a higher price due to commisson if you prefer to purchase it that way.

I’d happily gig with just the one pedal as ultimately all I need is one bass tone. I did just get a modded Box Of War in the recent Wren and Cuff mystery sale (and it is a low mid monster- every time I’ve used it on a gig I’m immediately pulled back to big full on 90’s/00’s muff bass tones… I digress) I suppose I’d add a compressor and maybe a drive unit/BOW just to have some additional dirt flavour but I’m confident from what I’ve heard it can be set to respond well to dynamics so that would be fun getting more grind as you dig in or use a pick if the notion took? -
Yes, 100% and even more so playing fretless. For me, I am the most comfortable playing a Fender, mostly a Jazz but a Precision is fine and Japanese Fender's are my favourite as the gloss necks are my preferred finish and the build quality is incredible.

I can get a reasonable sound out of any of my basses. The Seis, though, are the nicest of them to play. Does nobody else consider playability to be the most important aspect of a bass?

I prefer to avoid heavy chemicals due to the lack of ventilation but the neighbous are away for a couple of weeks so the shared landing might be an option. I need to go and get some other painting and wood finishing bits anyway (1980s build flat, doors and skirting need a bit of sorting out) so I'll see what I can pick up. I'm not worried about resale value as Bolivia has no market for this kind of thing and I couldn't play it standing up for more than 5 minutes without giving myself a serious shoulder problem so even if I do make a mess of things noone will see it. -

I have a MIJ ATK100. Absolutely great bass, very old school, very light and currently wearing flats, lovely thing. Low output, and honestly nothing at all like a Stingray. No idea if the 200 or other models are different in terms of that, and mine is the most basic version, but it definitely doesn’t sound like a ‘ray. Really great bass though, and definitely has its own vibe going on.
