Ooh, I do like that Inner Circle tune 👍 Baby I Love Your Way would be perfect too. Thanks. -
Triggers? How very 90s! It's a long time since I've seen anyone use a set of triggers on an acoustic drum kit, although I'm sure that it must still happen on some bigger productions. Yes you can get good result with mics on bass and snare and a couple of overheads (especially in smaller venues), but the norm these days is still very much individual mics on each drum.

Shaggy started following 80’s bass tones
-
Saw them live around 1980 - superb Back to the OP, I know Mick Karn and Pino are the obvious contenders, but my favourite has always been Barry Adamson's bass tone and playing with Magazine. Ovation Magnum 1 with aforementioned chorus and compression.

It kind of depends on what type of synth sound you want. One way of doing it is Octaver and fuzz, and I seem to remember getting some quite good ambient pad type sounds with the B3N mucking about stacking drive, modulation, reverb, delays. Add the slicer for some interesting sounds. Generally, envelope filters can be great for it (but the filters in the B3N aren't up to much). For the sort of mono Bass synth bassline sounds you are probably after though: Future Impact, C4, or the MXR are probably the top choices.

Fender Precision Bass 1978 Natural Finish Lightweight with Gig Bag Fantastic Fender Precision bass from the late 70’s the only non-original part is the pickup which is a noughties US Fender wired to a series parallel switch. The pots, wiring, and hardware all original. You can see there’s currently a D tuner on it but if it sells I’ll return it to stock as I have the original tuner. The bass is factory natural with nicely grained wood. It’s light at around 3.7kgs - amazing for a bass of this era and the neck is slim with a shallow profile. There are the usual ID marks and sticker under the scratchplate with serial number matching the headstock. Sadly no case but I have a light modern Fender gigbag for it or you can have a heavier duty generic one of you prefer that is a bit scruffy but sound. The bass balances really well and plays easily. There is lacquer wear at the upper bout and the finish has crazed over time. The finish is rubbed to near bare wood in places but it is honest wear and not particularly bothersome. You can feel the crazing when you rest your forearm on the edge, it didn’t irritate me when playing live. Great opportunity to buy a lightweight 70’s classic Fender. Pickup preferred but I can post if absolutely necessary. UK only.

I doubt that there's much, if any, difference for FOH over a couple (or even just one...) overhead. Still, what do I know..?

Happy clocks-go-back Day I think this might be the first pic of a pair of Monacos out in the wild.

No worries, Richard; I was hoping to have something more exciting to show you by this evening but have encountered issues with my soldering iron (as in, it's knackered) and so I've had to order another. I have, however, come up with a plan for the connection of the drivers - tin the cables up, run them through the spring connectors and then heat-shrink them (carefully) into place. Cheers, JRK

there's a fantastic article on TB on the design , process and staff at Gibson for the Tobias years a very interesting read "Tobias Growler Club" The Growler was an attempt to gain leverage in the Stingray and Fortress market , I think it's a top quality instrument and would like an unlined fretless 5 should that unicorn appear

Putting this great little drum machine up for sale - it's just not seeing much use. Easy to programme and has some great presets. Also has a bass generator function which I've never used. Quality sounds and an intuitive interface. £99 includes UK postage. Comes with manuals, box & power supply - In great and fully functioning condition. From the Alesis Web Site; Instant drums for on-the-go musicians Alesis knows drums. Our SR16 has dominated the drum machine market since 1990 and continues to be in demand today. The next-generation SR18 is loaded with cutting-edge drumsets, electronic drums, one-shot hits, and modern percussion sounds for any cutting-edge musician’s performances and compositions. From hip-hop to country and everything in between, SR18 nails it on the first take. SR18 has an effects engine with Alesis reverb, EQ, and compression so you can output recording or performance-ready sounds. You can plug in an instrument, such as a guitar, and play along for setup simplicity. You can play in bass parts using the pads on SR18 or connect a MIDI keyboard for fast, musical low end. SR18 can be powered by AC or batteries, so whenever or wherever you need to lay down a groove, you’re ready to roll. It’s time for you to step up to the next Alesis drum machine. For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. Possible pedal trade options would be Origin Effects DCX or IE Frantabit. Possible other option would be towards Bergantino HDN/HD 112 or Mesa Subway 112 cab. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £250 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.

I've got a Double Trolley by Marc Grue. I got it broken and have mended it to be in usuable condition. I found this unusable, where the wheels were bent, and the wheel frame did no fit the stool, and the latch under the seat snapped and a few other problems. I've put a new latch on and rebent the frame, cleaned it up and tighten some loose parts so that it is in good working condition. I've have tried and tested a couple of times going to and from, and at rehearsals. This is a trolley which helps move your bass around and conveniently doubles up as a stool. Tyres hold pressure, and will require a bungee to fasten to your bass. Find out more about it here: https://doubletrolley.com/index.php Due to the size of the item, I would prefer collection in person. I can provide more pictures on request. Open to offers. Thank you
