  3. I'm using Timetree but most of the musos I play with are technophobes so actually it's only me using it. I've had problems with shared Google calendars, because of course you have to log out of your own Google account in order to access them. At least, that's how it used to work.
  4. Can’t believe this is still here. Can’t believe that no one in your home country has snapped this up. I hope it sells soon. If this was here, I’d have bought this months ago. GLWTS.
  5. It seems like in some circles playing with a pick is frowned upon. As a teen I was " all in " with finger playing. I switched to playing with a pick about 25 years ago. For no reason other than the type of grooves and riffs I play are easier to execute with a pick. Daryl
  6. Thanks Frank I’ll check that out, I didn’t know they were playing
  7. Nearly a year ago my brother, and our singer, suffered a stroke live on stage at a festival. For a while we wondered if we'd ever get to play a gig again. Luckily, that chance came last friday! A filmmaker friend brought his camera along, and I arranged to record the set. We put together someof the footage and mixed a brand new song that we played. It was the hottest day ever, but in my 20 years of being in this band, it's the gig I'm most glad to have been able to do, and I know this video will be something to look back at and cherish as long as I live. Hope you enjoy!

  8. First live performance done last friday! Here's a live track video (although most shots are non-synced and taken from other songs in the set). It's also a good example of the type/size of gig an Ampeg PF20T can handle 😉 It was a particularly poignant gig for us as my brother (the lead singer) had a stroke last year, so for a while we were wondering if we'd ever get to play another show together (the drummer is my other brother)
  9. I've found this stereo Radial JDI passive stereo DI available. Would that noticeably improve my active bass & Moog Little Phatty's live sound instead of using my HX Stomp's balanced outs? I know Stomp has pretty damn good outs already. If's it will give like 10% margin difference tops, I don't wanna bother. I play lots of live and I'm always afraid running Stomp's DI to get Phantom power fed and Stomp fried.. Thank you.
  10. I've gone ahead and whacked it on Klarna. Couldn't resist. Can anyone recommend which (preferably free) apps they use?
  11. Wild One - Billy Idol
  12. All that is actually pretty true.
  13. Missed out on one of these on EBay a few months ago. Stunning looking instruments. Congrats!
  14. Dont try this at home kids
  15. I've just caught a moment or two of Glasto25, seems to be the usual mix of soft rock and 'music to die by' - still the crowd seem to like it and what is this thing for shooting lights into the face of the audience ? A lot of so-called DJs do it, so I suppose old age has finally caught up - more wobble from me soon/possibly .............. 😎
  16. Becoming Insane - Infected Mushroom
  17. Wide Asleep - Michael Manring
  18. Girlfriend In A Coma - The Smiths
  19. How Ya Doin'? - Little Mix
  20. It isn't worth time, effort, hassle or expense of posting. But it should give you a nudge towards trawling through rifle cases to find one that fits.
  21. Yes, that's the experience most people have. Odd, isn't it? The orientation of the horn is one aspect. Another is that the compression driver takes over from below 2kHz, which means you get a controlled dispersion throughout the range of bass guitar frequencies - no matter where you're standing. I've written a short article for @Sean and will probably post it on the website once I get some explanatory diagrams done. I already have some frequency response curves that show what is going on.
  22. i have a load of HOAL5 and HOAL7 pond cable somewhere, it never occurred to me to make speaker cables out of it until now. It's very flexible, and also totally waterproof so handy for those swimming pool photoshoots. I used it to repair umbelical dive lights which were a big deal before the invention of the LED.
  23. Steve, you never said you drove an Aston Martin! £1200! Noooooooo!
  24. I have been told that it is due to the orientation of the High-Mid driver. @stevie if you are going to write an explanation for @Sean it might be worth putting it on the web site. It made me think I was too loud because I could actually hear everything, instead of the sound blasting past me at knee level, and the band told me to turn it up.
  25. You know those Les Paul basses? They're difficult to find, have severe neck dive, weigh a ton, and sound really bad! They smell too 🤢 😉
