  1. Past hour
  2. Sorry for all the quotes, just getting caught up on one of my favorite threads. Downsizing from multiple pedals to a multi is definitely a 'thing'. Much easier now as well as they are all fantastic, you could honestly gig with nearly all of them. Although I'm sure in 10 years time they will all sound terrible again! I still have a little analogue board with 3 pedals on a nano, but my QC (and before that my HX stomp) is just my rig now. What else could you need? He says, looking at the limited edition Sansamp paradriver... Pleased to see I'm not the only one, although it still feels like cheating. Just for three songs in our set, what about you? That is slick. Have you seen the little cable ones? They put a bit less strain on the jack socket IMO.
  3. I find I become familiar with what I listen to, or what people tell me. For example I now know a lot about Mark King... 😁
  4. My previous PEB Stingray was a delight to play, sounded great, but when I took the scratchplate off, there was a badly filled extra pick up route (a la Lakland) that drove me nuts (although it didn't impact the sound). Always worth checking!
  5. Some big names there in the bass world, shocked...
  6. Double post.
  7. You have demonstrated perfectly my point thank you - I have never heard/seen of these.
  8. I suspect it may be something to do with the frame rate; as BigRed says, 28.7 is a very non-standard rate. Can you set the recording video frame rate to be 25fps? And have you tried putting the audio and video together in Audacity? IIRC there's a video option...

  10. Have sent the pics to guitarguitar and they are saying there is nothing wrong with it so won’t pay the return shipment cost, disappointing but a lesson learnt.
  11. Do you have an Elf? My brother's sounds fine through a Portaflex 15.
  12. No problems, just changing from a pre-amp monitor combo back to a bass combo and wondered if you'd accept that. Wish I had the funds right now as only in Deal and this is a great combo at a fantastic price
  13. Awesome basses these. Bargain for the quality.
  14. Today
  15. You can add Tom Petty and these guys: https://www.hofner.com/blog/hofner-artists-4 And those bands plus many more, mostly unknown: https://www.hofner.com/blog/beatles-60s-2
  16. ...rather than stepping up, with a plate. What a dreadful accident, @zbd1960. So sorry to hear your news.
  17. I'm still really tempted by this.
  18. Can I Play With Madness - Iron Maiden
  19. That’s horrible and the timing even worse. Hope it heals rapidly.
  20. Ouch. Bad luck. Best regards and I hope you get back to some sort of normality soon. As for your Christmas hosting, time for you guests to step up to the plate I think!
  21. The Ashdown RM EVO III compressor is very nice and better than what they put in the ABM series No volume drop or tone suck
  22. Yes I agree Ashdown have a desperate need for some better lighter cabs. In fact on their website apart from the RM series all the ABM cabs are sold out suggesting a new series is coming ? A nice tall 212 4ohm cab rated to 600w or more and around 20kg would be a great addition
