  1. Past hour
  2. @tony_m Very glad to hear the Trace is still alive and kicking and doing what it does best 👍
  3. Just listening to an amazing old Quincy Jones vinyl compilation - this is a super funky ballad, but then hey, what would you expect with Cuck Rainey and Harvey Mason as your rhythm section?
  4. Thanks Neil! Seems like someone was able to isolate the bass in this video so we can make out what’s in sequences 7 & 8!
  5. A matter of rust - Billy Joel
  6. I liked the remix/master of Pearl Jams Ten....but I know a few that don't as well
  7. Could I also add that I’d like the vinyl pressing of ‘Californication’ to be remastered so that it’s a bit quieter - I have to add an extra half gram to my stylus whenever I listen to it to stop it jumping!
  8. I found that asking Google "What's bigger than an Elf?" was really, really unhelpful.
  9. Don’t forget its ability/inability to make coffee
  10. The latest remasters of the ZEP back catalogue is well worth buying the albums again - they sound amazing(er)!
  11. https://www.thomann.co.uk/kasleder_albatross_bass_fuzz.htm Well hello option with a returns policy
  12. Surprised that the vendor now wants £400 for a bass with such a shocking defret job. That bass needs at least a couple of hundred quid spent on it before it would even pass a basic hygiene test.
  13. http://www.cc.rim.or.jp/~tune/tune/twx.trem/twx.trem.html That's the stock model but custom options are no problem.
  14. The remixed versions of the early ZZ Top albums were atrocious. The added reverb sucked all the life out of the songs.
  15. I had an active deluxe precision special in seafoam green from around 2011, which was rumoured to have come from the factory with a Geddy Lee neck as production had just moved to Mexico. The preamp stopped working so I changed all of it for EMGs and a BTS system which began my love of EMGs and how easy they were to install
  16. Yes...thx for your interest...Bernard
  17. this is my new Torzal on a stand), but the sound is identical, it will give you some idea, it outside & a iPhone(ignore the singing ..ha)
  18. Shipping and import duties will account for another sizeable chunk of the rest.
  19. Add your 20% vat and you get a good chunk of the way to the difference.
  20. It's a Tune, just look at the logo on the peghead. Lad from Casiopea has been playing them for years, so long there's even a model named after the band he plays in. I've a vague memory he's actually a dentist in real life 😃
  21. If you really like the tone of the Elf & don't mind carrying both and you weren't needing the Elf's DI for normal FOH feed, you could run the Elf's DI into the fx return of the Eden to take advantage of the latter's increased headroom. Would need an XLR to TS adaptor cable, and it's a bit clunky, but might get you the best of both worlds.
  22. This is one of my favourite videos on YouTube with Abe Laboriel Sr on an 8 string Ibanez I think
  23. I see Thomann have some interesting pedal bargains at the moment e.g. Pigtronix Gatekeeper, Chromatic Tuner, Octavia Micro Fuzz or Philosopher’s Tone Micro = £42 each Super 1313 Analog Delay = £66 Line6 DL4 Mk.II Silver Anniversary = £174 Hotone Ampero Mini = £139 Peterson StroboClip HD = £34. Not including shipping, of course!
  24. Hi, did Julia get back to you? I've a B3 and would love to try the settings. And have you seen the newly released MXR Bass Synth, shaped and promoted by Ian Allison? I'm sorely tempted but its a lot of dosh.
  25. Today
  26. Not mine, but saw the ad and thought of this group https://www.facebook.com/share/1DbCrhekso/
