😁 Stupidly, I momentarily assumed Belgium is only about 15 miles across... Which is a bit daft as I've driven from Dunkirk to Saarbrucken via Mons and Luxembourg many times!

We've all had the same thoughts and come to similar conclusions which I find highly amusing. One other thing to add, the Aldcrofts paint (which I think is Tuff Cab) only has an unopened shelf life of six months. I worked out that doing two 8" cabs with three coats uses approx 1Kg, and the chances of me using it again is low, so its very expensive to paint two cabs. If I lived closer to people I'd happily pass tins along but unlikely to happen. I like the look of the Hammered Hammerite but thats not cheap either at circa £10 / 250ml. There is this site that tests how it works on different woods and it comes through with flying colours. Thanks a lot @Leonard Smalls, but Diksmuide is 300 kilometers away from home as I live at the opposite side if the country, otherwise I would have gone there (and I quite hate folk music too). Thanks a lot for the "invitation". That said Wednesday we saw, for the third time, Kyle Eastwood, in another genre, in Dudelange (Luxemburg). Excellent concert if you like jazz, especially post bebop music, and for that concert, it was dedicated to his father's film music (more 70's oriented).

There must be an optimum elasticity of strap for this. A bit of R&D time would pay dividends.

Awesome bit of kit that has helped me play my bass and my Novation Bass Synth through the same signal path. I've used it as two inputs routed to one out, but can also direct one input to two outs. Fret wraps .... would someone give me guide

I pretty much felt the same about the 'lack of' need for fret wrap. I've been playing for just over 40 years and good technique has always taken care of unwanted sustain or harmonics; but I do like the different tone you can get from using a mute. Luckily my old Stingray (1979) came with bridge mutes that you can lift on to bottom of string, Jameson style. I find they are great for slap, which I do relatively little of compared to many modern layers, as I prefer the less is more approach of Larry Graham; I also find they sound great for Country style bass. I hope that people using fret wraps so much these days don't get lazy on technique, as this is an important part of sounding good, and sometimes you want the full sustain of not using a mute, so will need that technique then to control the sustain, and for dropping in ghost notes. -
