I find with the artists mentioned here , what works for me is to watch them sparingly . I’ve watched a basinful of Charles Berthoud , and don’t bother much these days if at all. I was searching for Michael manring the other day to see what he’s up to . Then I found a couple of really nice clips of manring and Berthoud together which was really nice to watch. I do like Davie , and noted he had a battle with you tube which was worrying for him. I saw a few clips of him in different countries trying out basses in his usual humour and that was entertaining for me . Sapko I’m finding grating and not really my bag . Too shouty like an aggressive George formby for my ears . Too clickbaity ! Last of all ..Scott Devine ! I used to follow him a few years back . Very open , down to earth etc . Then the little irritating reminders in the middle of clips to sign up . He just seems to be over the top clickbaity now ! Captions about why 5 strings are crap etc with his face looking at me . I understand that there are trends that these YouTubers have to compete with others incase they miss out ,but not for me so I won’t click on anything like that.I have unsubscribed from a couple of music sites because of YouTubers copying the jokey style of others that are about as funny as James Corden or Russell Brand . It’s a shame that it’s all about algorithms..

Thanks for the reply, no I don't intend changing the tuners on the 735. Just thought it odd that my 425 has adjustable tuners and the higher priced 735 just had a basic Fender type tuner unit. I agree re - expensive basses I have hipshot light tuners on a £2000 bass and they are not the best.

If you are selling it to a retailer in my experience you are looking at half the selling price they will advertise it at so you might take a large hit on the bass. I have sold stuff through Bass Direct and Bass Bros who usually charge 20% on a commission sale but I have had good results with both and Bass Bros will buy stuff from you outright. Unless you are selling gear for a good price at the moment it can take a while to shift privately.

To add a little to what Phil has said, it is tricky to truly compare like with like across different manufacturer's offerings without just building some cabinets and having a listen. One spec that's not always published but does tell you something useful is Xlim. That is commonly defined as the actual amount a speaker can move before damage. Celestion have provided info on Xlim in email exchange before, I've always found them very helpful. In general I've always found Celestions to perform very well in practice. Gigging rig years ago was a pair of 12" Celestion PA drivers, Xmax 2.5mm. Never ran out of juice on a gig. A decade ago I built two 110 cabinets loaded with sadly discontinued NTR10-2520D. The Xmax is 'only' 4mm (I chose these over the long-throw E version due to midrange response) but mechanical Xlim is 13mm. I have used single cabs as subs before for indoor gigs and again they've never come up wanting. On bass, the pair cover me for anything I do up to the point where I'm on a stage where serious monitors and PA take over. In contrast I have blown Eminence Deltalite II 2510 before and reading online this seems to be fairly easy to do. Xlim somewhere around 8mm I think. Published Xmax 4.2mm and same wattage, but not the same class of driver as the Celestion in practice.
