  1. Past hour
  2. Or perhaps a custard cream. Very yummy anyway.
  3. That’s a bargain for a 1970s Fender. Is there a reason why you have redacted part of the serial number, which might be useful information to potential buyers? Not that I’m one, sadly. It looks a lovely thing, especially the way the finish has aged to a creamy custard. GLWTS anyway.
  4. Planet Smasher - Devin Townsend
  5. I need 2nd Jazz bass in my life

  6. I don't know, I know nothing about them!
  7. My guitarist bought me little knob covers because I’ve been so excited about mine literally since April. So now all your anagrams look weird to me 🤣
  8. I don’t find it confusing at all. If something inspires you and gives your life meaning go for it. If you are doing it with sincerity I don’t think it’s anybody else’s business to judge. I always got the impression George Harrison was profoundly moved by his experiences in India and had a genuine love for the country and the music. He did things his way. The only way to do things.
  9. The hunt goes on unfortunately
  10. The bridge cover is off a 51p, probably not original
  11. A bag of gravel a week...? LUXURY. I like the hotcovers stuff - good quality at a decent price. Their website doesn't say if they're made in the UK (I think they are... have emailled to ask) I had some Roqsolid stuff in the past and found them a bit flimsy butr to be fair, I probably had the cheapest option stuff. EDIT: Hotcovers stuff is made in the UK (They didn't say if their workers work 29 hours a day and pay them for permission to come to work and when they get home, their mothers and fathers kill them and dance on their graves singing Hallelujiah. I assume not.)
  12. Not sure that the fade is the main reason why this bass looks iffy…
  13. World Machine - Level 42
  14. Totally... I agree... B & C direct are also UK based & the factory is in Wakefield ... What has been described to me sounds like of similar quality.. but not received it yet, so we shall see......
  15. Nova 4 string clamp. Unused with screws. £30 posted Guyker 5 string clamp £12 posted
  16. Today
  17. Is this still available? I'm living in Ireland, but i’ll be in the UK this weekend. I would be very interested in getting it.
  18. Roqsolid aren't the cheapest, but they do make everything in the UK. They don't sell stuff made by people earning a bag of gravel a week in third world factories.
  19. An engineering marvel. The tailpiece is so simple, but so effective. And the headstock, very neat for something with 12 tuners. Very pretty - I'd be all over that if it was a 15-string....
  20. everybody wants to rule the world - tears for fears
  21. I'm not sure this is as confusing as you seem to find it. Cultures bleed into and enrich each other - this is a good thing. Taking ("appropriating") an element of another culture in order to suggest a shared experience that may not exist introduces the risk of looking insensitive or cynical. Much as you yourself alluded to above: it's a matter of intent and sensitivity to the subject matter.
  22. Is the tea grown in India and the shirt made from Indian produced cotton?
  23. When Santa Rules His World - Deicide
  24. Just to bring you up to speed with the last 15 years. It's the same people, chatting the same chat but the gear got lighter, GAS got more intense and basses became a lot harder to sell. Other than that, you've not missed anything. 😀
  25. Well, I guess I will tumble into the loss-of-money territory I am so familiar with, alas…feel free to make me an offer. No trades though please.
  26. still carry mine for use as a DI to FOH
