  1. Past hour
  2. And it's a bass you can see in the photo. It'd probably be a Les Paul if it was a Marshall.
  3. Today
  4. Everything I Own - Ken Boothe or Bread
  5. You'll get the best results with four round ports 8cm diameter 15cm long. The rattles indicate insufficient panel to panel bracing.
  6. As opposed to agonizing over just about everything except how today the bass well in a musical way.
  7. Some nice new updates added recently, most notably to the sequencer.
  8. @thebob, were you still after one? @tayste_2000 Is it the MKIII or the MKIIIS?
  9. I would have to agree. I bought this exact model from Bass Bros in pristine condition for just shy of £1200. Great bass however
  10. It went well, actually. Took us a little while to find our groove, but once we settled in things came together nicely. A few bits still need tightening up, but overall it felt like a solid rehearsal and a step in the right direction
  11. So far tonight: Born to Run - the whole album not just the track Blackest Eyes - Porcupine Tree some Sweet and currently Time Frames - Jonas Lindbergh & The Other Side
  12. Right….here is a fantastic representation of ‘Fender’ Jazz style bass. The construction is highly regarded in the ‘jazz copies’ world. Being more of a 5 sting player, I put it together with great upgrades for an upcoming project but the video guys preferred a solid colour vintage looking bass, which I now own and upgraded (‘ing’….nearly finished). This fantastic bass now plays and sounds far superior than the price (and brand) suggests, but owes me £500 +……nearest to that would make me happy (collected preferably but can post if buyer covers p&p). (Willing to drop off if within a reasonable distance or en route somewhere). I can try to recover the cost by stripping it back to original and selling bass and parts separately but that would be a shame as it went remarkably well so I’m going to try to sell it as is…. In great condition with no obvious or major damage etc…I hope the pics do it justice and I will list the mods done. Feel free to question me but take my word…you will not be disappointed with this superb instrument. KSD bass £250, East J-Retro deluxe preamp £100, EMG’s £100, Badass 2 bridge £45, Brass nut £10, Tuners £45, Ernie Ball strings £25. I’ll describe the sound as fat and snappy. My favourite combination of East and EMG wins again. The feel is fast with a flatter radius than Fender stuff so really comfortable and easy on the ‘bends’. What do we think lads?🤞🏽

  13. The Sovereign Pro 8-225 is the version of the 8-225 used in the Basschat 8" cabinet. It is a bit heavier than the non-pro version. It also has a flatter response. Ideal for use in the 8" cab if you need less treble. It has never been used, except to try it in an existing cabinet. Unfortunately, it did not fit. Will be sent in the original packing. You can compare the two speakers HERE.
  14. This is a Fane Sovereign Pro 8-225. The cast aluminium version of the Fane Sovereign 8-225 used in the Easy 8" Cab Build Thread. It is slightly heavier and has a flatter response than the non-pro version. I bought this to fit into an old 8" PA cabinet, but it was a little too deep. It has had virtually no use. The foam was use when I was trying to fit the driver into my old cabinet. I will include a new strip of foam. The original 8-225 was selected, as its upper response makes up for the lack of a tweeter. However, if you prefer a flatter softer sound, this is the driver for you. Pro 8-225 Datasheet

  15. That custom shop was cool - one of a run done for Sting so he could retire his originals by all accounts… Sold at the time because it didn’t suit my band or something mundane… it’d really work now. Meh. Life…
  16. Yesterday
  17. Never quite understood why - as the commercial profits do - sticking a jazz bridge pickup on a precision makes it a PJ. It's just a modded Precision. Anyway - mine isn't. Just finished this. It's a Frankenstein based around a Squier PJ body and a new Fender 70s Jazz neck. I found some SDQPs on eBay. Got a Hi mass with some Amazon vouchers I had given and for the princely sum of £3.54 got a vintage pearloid pick guard off Temu ! Every hole lines up perfectly. I shielded the inside with slug tape from the garden centre and rewired it so it's vol/blend/tone. It's far more the love child of a Precision and a Jazz than most. Not a great pic but it does have Milly in it !
  18. Beautiful work, the way the graphic follows the shape of the body is lovely.
  19. Raising cash so up for sale is IMHO one of the finest tracking octavers available for bass (and i cant bring muself to sell my OC2) It has two distinct octave voices a Growl which replicates the toothy synth tone of an OC2 and a Girth which is smooth and deep like an EBS octabass/octamizer. You can get subtle variations from mixing the two. It also has a switchable mid boost/cut on the clean tone which can be adjusted internally, very handy. Usual small MXR enclosure with fantastic build quality. Its in great condition and a beautiful deep blue sparkle. No box, but will be well packed. This does Not have the noise issues associayed with the early versions) (Note- the A sticker will be removed and cleaned, ive a two channel setup and kept mixing them up 🤣) £80 incl UK only delivery
  20. Update time - Four of the batch 1 necks should be finished next week with the other one available next week. Thanks again for your patience.
  21. Fantastic Chorus/Flanger so effectively two pedals in one. Fully Analog utilising bucket brigade technology for warm vintage Chorus tones. Also feature a 2 band EQ so you can go from warm lush to shimmering modern sounds. It also has a switchable crossover so the effect can be applied only to the high frequencies (like the old Boss Bass chorus) leaving the bottom end nice and clean (a subtle but lovely sound) or a full range chorus sound for extra thickness. A button activates the Flanger mode which is my favourite, totally gives you that wide spacey Anthony Jackson tone. Definately a favourite pedal, but I do use Phaser a lot more. It's also a very cool Aqua colour, what's not to love. Its in reasonable condition, with a few chips in the finish, Im not sure if i have the original box,but will be very well packed. £95 incl Uk only delivery
  22. Hubba, hubba 🤤
  23. Im about to move into a new flat and basically need everything 🤣 so a few odds and ends will find their way up for sale. This is a fantastic pedal, a licensed version of the vaunted Bugbrand bugcrusher which is very expensive. Its a sample rate reducer with clean blend and one of the most musical ive ever tried. It took me ages to find one used, but i lterally use it on two tunes with a band that rarely gigs, so up it goes. Its in fantastic condition with a lovely sparkly silver finish, its got velcro on the bottom, no box unfortunately. £95 incl UK only delivery
  24. I'm not so sure about that. It is kinda like 'Need Your Love So Bad' (for example), but not quite. You would need to finesse it a bit from the way the OP describes to get it to work (of course, that might be what he means, but didn't quite express it correctly / how I understood it).
  25. Any decent keyboardist would probably spot it anyway, guitarist not so much
