  1. Past hour
  2. You could be disappointed if changing your pickup doesn't reduce the hum. Have you checked the circuit? If the output jack is wired up incorrectly this can cause untold amounts of hum. Also shielding the bass's cavities (and the back of the pickguard) using copper tape with conductive adhesive — often sold as anti-slug tape, can work wonders in reducing hum.
  3. Maybe they also have a limelight and have put the wrong pics up 🤷‍♂️
  4. 🤔no one ever says that…
  5. She could be selling on behalf of someone else? We’ve had a few probate listings …“benefit of the doubt” ?
  6. I like those jackets. Daryl
  7. Ooh! I spy the Rio symbol on the 12th fret! ❤️ It should be understood that I was in my early teens when Duran Duran were in the charts and John Taylor was something of a heart-throb for me and I started learning to play bass watching Duran Duran videos
  8. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  9. A golf club Christmas party. Never had so much space! GR Dual 1400 and a GR bass 2x10 each side of the stage, with my trusty Franz and Dingwall running wireless.
  10. Well that would be brilliant, yes.
  11. Looks like a surface scratch, probably from a hasty string change.
  12. Today
  13. @TKenrick that’s the one! Thank you so much.
  14. Your OP seemed to question why this rig was so cheap, and I was pointing out that it's collection only and something this big and heavy has a VERY limited market with the current way bass amplification is going.
  15. Right handed, surf green jazz in the picture. Nothing like a left handed, charcoal frost precision.
  16. The OP only joined Basschat 19 hours ago. Might be an idea to introduce yourself @Suzi Harding - there's a forum called Introductions on The Local section.
  17. Not left handed, not a precision either....
  18. Brown Sugar - ZZ Top
  19. Anyone ever heard this before, I quite like it and the bassline
  20. For sale my Eden Neo powered (passive) 2x10 made in PRC and USA made D115 cabs. Together they make an excellent full range stack. Relatively compact as the D115 is the shorter version. The Neo 2x10 is a lightweight cab and very manageable, the D cab a bit more weighty though not ridiculous. The 2x10 is 500 watts at 8 ohms and adjustable tweeter, the D115 is 200 watt at 8ohm. Both offered in very good used condition and perfect working order, of course. No tweeter in the D series cab so it benefits from Being part of a stack with the highs taken care of elsewhere, unless some sub reggae is the order of the day? Will consider splitting though, as usual, it'd be a bit of a shame. EX210N8 = £165 D115=£145 Collection much preferred, but i can package securely, if you can arrange the courier of your choice. Cheers. Craig.

  21. I guess you're referring to the Joe Dart/Paul Jackson/Me'shell Ndegeocello/Stuart Zender/just about every other funk bassist trill (I also hear it referred to as a 'shake'). This is the most gloriously silly example I can think of that has trills on almost everything: The thing that I find makes a huge difference is this: it's in the arm, not the fingers. Take your fretting hand thumb off the back of the neck and use your elbow to generate the rapid back and forth sliding motion. Forget trying to be too accurate or polite with it to start with, it'll take a while to feel like you've got it under control and then you can gradually refine the movement.
  22. I'll take it, PM sent. Been desperate for one of these for some time now. Almost put in a custom order but the cost was just too high for me.
