Stonking! I really like these, including the headstock! Nate makes anything sound brilliant though. I’m suprised these don’t have nordstrands given the previous relationship with Ibanez.

Ok so it's a 24 fret Jazz bass with a lot of knobs. Definitely a gap they had in models, looks decent - i'd give one a whirl.

Including 6-strings -- not many of those about in the non-boutique space aside from the recent Squier.

I know and it looks great. Some J-sixers look kind of bloated. The ramp Nat is using in the vid is part of the deal too including with the sixer.

The basses look really good and Nate's video is a good demo of the tones. My immediate thought as soon as I saw these models is that the leg rest cut-out is quite a long way back toward the bridge and, with a 'full size' headstock, it will neck-dive.

Could be worse, they're also bringing back the Iceman

I see they didn't have the budget for stacked knobs....

I don't hate it, but 6 knobs and a switch is a lot...

I know I've posted most of the Internet in this thread now but here's a good one on the details and design philosophy of the the Mode - they're light! As well as other new basses from Ibanez. That white finish is gorgeous!

Crikey! You'll have Health & Safety on to you with those things. (They're in the Thomann's vid posted above too.)

I’m probably minority here  but apart from the white one mentioned , they don’t do anything for me .More knobs than the Houses of Parliament. Is there really any need for them ?? Doubtful if the punters at the dog and duck would notice much difference tbh

 They speak on weight here.

I tried a sr600 ash body last week at wunjos and the neck blew me away. One of the most comfortable necks I’ve ever played. Chords felt so smooth to do.

On one review, the ash bodiied 4 string weighed 4.5 kgs.....too much in my opinion and would be a deal breaker for me

 You beat me to it.

The BtW guys rave about the four and the five. Six review coming shortly. 'Best bass Ibanez has ever made' is quite the statement given they've probably made more models (and maybe actual basses) then anyone else!
