Woodinblack
It would be a good plan - I would have still have one if it came in a smaller box.

la bam
Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone can help with this? I'm looking for a synth pedal that can cover 2 songs: INXS elegantly wasted and INXS dissappear (the piano type sound at the start) Would the future impact be able to do these? All the pedals I've seen demod are pretty much static notes. Any help appreciated. Edited September 30, 2023 by la bam
ped
Hi folks I sold my FI a while ago but now the band I'm in might give me more opportunity to use some synth sounds. I can't for the life of me remember how well the FI does standard effects like chorus, octave and phaser? I think the octave was pretty good but don't remember trying the others, which would make it more likely to find acceptance within my setup. Thoughts?

Chorus/flanger is pretty solid, though mono only. I made some reasonable phaser patches using the EQ effect to create two notch filters. Octave is pretty good.

I got a FI again today courtesy of @martthebass (it might have been yours originally @Quatschmacher? I have been A/B testing your Micro-Tron presets with my Mutrons and I have to say number 8 was sooo close - I played with it a tiny bit and it’s really good. Thanks!

I still have my original one. I think I did hook Mart up with the seller though. Glad to hear you like the presets. Those work best when used with the global note-on setting set to 1 as they’ll trigger at lower dynamic levels. What did you alter? Yeah, thanks - the filter responds really well and mimics the Mutron really well especially in the higher range. The settings I changed were more to suit my attack and the range really, so I think I changed the range/sensitivity and the mixer a bit, nothing much. I will be trying to sort an octaver, chorus and phaser patch next, before loading up some of the synths I made when I last had the pedal. Fortunately because I had already configured everything and I'm using the Roland UM-ONE again, it all worked fine when I reinstalled the software. I was expecting problems!

Quatschmacher
A quick question: how would you feel if the note-on/off parameter were made into a per-preset one?
Quatschmacher
Community input needed: For clarification, Legacy Patch Selection Mode is the one where you use the program button to cue a patch within a single bank of 10 then use the on/off button to engage it. Contrast this with the Direct mode (the default) where pressing the program button increments through all 99 patches. Personally I never use legacy mode and would happily see it removed to make space for more useful upgrades/fixes.
Owen
More options and losing a feature I never used? That is not a difficult decision.
ped
I didnt know about that mode but think it might suit me quite well since I find going ‘down’ patches with a double press a bit tricky. How do I engage that mode? I can then put my favourite ten patches in a bank…

I don’t really use more than ten patches, so could be useful. That said, been working fine without it, so not really a problem either way. Woodinblack
I never used that when I had mine although it sounds useful. I guess you could get round it with a patch switcher.
