Kirky Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 1. Yes, Cat 5 from the desk (we use a PD-16) as there's two of us using P16s. And then connect your P16 puts to your IEM transmitter. 2) all channels are live unless you mite them. Switching the channel on makes that the live one you are adjusting, unless you solo you'll hear the whole mix. 2 Quote

I think what threw me was seeing images of the HQ with multiple buttons lit up green. Wasn’t sure why. It does look like a cool device, im going to get one maybe over the weekend or next week. Yes 2 hours ago, dave_bass5 said: 2. I get that the buttons along the bottom represent 16 channels coming from the XR18. Note that there are two P16, as there is a new one just come out, I have only used the older one, but might get a new one. Each green light lights up when there is a sound coming through that channel. if you have nothing selected you can turn the volume / bass / treble etc up. If you select a channel, you can change the volume (and tone) of that channel, and its left / right balance. It is really simple and obvious to use. 1 Quote

Because there is sound coming from those channels I guess. The red one is the one you are adjusting (or I think on the HQ, the one that has gone yellow). 1 Quote

Ah, so instead of the LED’s on the old one, the HQ version (which is what im intending to get) has the actual button flash? This is what im talking about. So pressing one will turn it red and it’s selected? Seems simple enough once it’s explained to me. Thanks Edited 8 hours ago by dave_bass5 Quote
Woodinblack Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago The Old p16 had two LEDs, a green one for activity and a red one for select. From what I read (and this was one of the complaints) the LED in the new P16 is a combined Red / Green so instead of seeing red and green when it is selected and has a signal, you see yellow as both red and green are on at the same time Quote

Cheers, I’ll report back what i think when i get mine. Have just ordered it but using slow delivery so might not arrive until next week (seeing as it’s EVRI, maybe never lol). Quote
