Mike
8 years ago I made the silly decision to sell a bass I had custom made by Jon Shuker - a 33” red Jazz 5 with block inlays. I found a picture of it on the website and wondered if, by the power of the internet, I could either buy it back or at least know where it ended up! Can anyone help?! 😘
TheGreek
Can't help with yours but I bought back my Overwater Custom Jazz after foolishly selling it.... We live and learn....or is it "stupid is as stupid does"? Edited June 2, 2018 by TheGreek
edstraker123
I've foolishly parted with 3 Shuker basses searching for the holy grail- should have just stuck with the first one - it was probably the best bass I've ever owned. It's even worse when seeing them go for much more used than you paid for them new ! Edited June 2, 2018 by edstraker123
yorks5stringer
Not been given much to go on,so I'll bite. 1 Did you sell it on here? 2. If so can you remember the buyers name? If not where they lived? 3. If not here, where did you sell it, private or to a shop? 4. Think you get my drift, as much info as possible will help😉
Mike
Good point! Sold it through basschat to a guy called Will 8 years ago. Met him at South Mimms. I have dropped him an email today but nothing yet!
yorks5stringer
Not sure if you can still access your old PM's, but maybe speak to a Mod by PM?
Linus27
Good luck finding it. I know how you feel. I sold my Olympic White Precision on here a few years back and wished I hadn't. I know the serial so might start a thread like yours. Good luck.

I can't believe I sold a bass I had custom made. Madness. Really hope I find it!
Jono Bolton
Similar story for me; I bought a bass from Clarky, who bought it from Old Horse Murphy, that I subsequently sold back to OHM, that I wish I hadn't. I often wonder where it is and if it's possible to try and track down.

PURPOLARIS
Ok guys, the Bass was sold to me, I traded it, I think for a Marcus Miller Jazz with a Status neck on here. I instantly regretted it as well but hey ho you live and you learn. So the connection we have now is Red Shuker Jazz Marcus Miller with Status neck

Russ
I've had a few regrets - first one was a pseudo-Sei, made from a Brandoni body, and fitted with a Bartolini MME pickup and a Kahler trem. That bass probably saved my life during some pretty low times back in the late 90s/early 00s. I foolishly sold it to Notting Hill Music Exchange about 16 years ago. The second one was another Sei - a 5-string fretless with Wal pickups and electronics. Sold it to a guy in Japan (who I think is a BC member) in 2005. I'm sure he loves it, but I miss it badly. The thing was amazing. Now I'm actually a proper grown-up with money, I'd buy either of them back in a heartbeat.

fleabag
I'd like to know where my original 84 Overwater Standard single pup is - huge mistake. This, but single pup and passive - very hard to even find a photo of one
