Initially 5, then revised down to 2-3. This was two years ago (so costs may have gone up) but he quoted around £1180 (that was sunburst which is a little extra).

I spoke to Mark at Limelight about commissioning a Sting-style reliced 50s bass. Because it would require more unusual parts he said it would be easier if a few people wanted to order. We talked prices, and he seems up for doing it. I've been using a Limelight '66' P/J that he made me a few years ago and still love it!

Late to the party, but I have a Woodline Handmade 5 and it's absolutely superbly made. I had a Sadowsky preamp put in and it's stunning.

What a beautiful pair! Really suit your playing.

Impressed by Bacchus jazz basses. Any thoughts/experience?

Not sure if this is aimed at me, but I bought mine from the Gallery, so nil. -
Great buyer! Quick payment, couldn't ask for better. Great comms. Enjoy the bass - I miss it already!

Yes it can, and it has a tone control for passive use. Well - currently it's under offer and I'm discussing payment with the buyer so I'll keep you posted. Cheers Lloyd. -

Still available! I got cold feet as it's such a nice instrument, but it now needs to make way for something else I've been lusting after for a while! -
Very nice! Hope it comes up for sale at some point!

Sting Fender Signature Model - Who has/had one?

That Bravewood is absolutely exceptional! This is very high on my list to get at some point. -
Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed that!

Possibly a ramp fitted at some point? Can you post a close up picture of that area please?

An absolutely wonderful bass which I don't use enough as I am using a 5 string for most of my gigs. It's too good not to be regularly played. A USA Deluxe Precision, although it's technically a PJ as it has a jazz pickup too for ultimate versatility. N3 noiseless pickups, and 18v preamp with master volume, pickup blend, bass/treble, mids/passive tone control and active/passive switch. In really good condition - one ding on the top and a small dent under the neck which I can send a picture of. Otherwise 9/10 condition. Plays really nice, sounds huge. Extremely versatile! Comes with original fender hardshell case. Pickup from near Colchester, Essex, though I do gig around quite a bit.

A backbeat in black, with carry case and power supply in perfect condition. I bought it unusued, and I've used it on 2 gigs. It's pretty amazing and makes it feel like you have a huge rig behind you, but I'm going in a different direction and won't be needing it. Read more about it here: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Backbeat.html New is £330, so save £80! Pickup from near Braintree/Colchester, or can post for £5

How much is shipping to the UK please?

I've been through so many different basses, but I think my current crop really represent what I value in bass guitars - a really good jazz and precision sound. So I have a 71P and 71J, a Limelight PJ (with Sadowsky Preamp), a Bacchus Jazz 5 (with Sadowsky preamp!) and a Fender deluxe PJ (which I'm going to sell but is still great). All Fenders or Fender clones. The only outliers are a Rimbass 5 singlecut (such a good deal I couldn't turn it down) and my fretless choice is a Stingray 5 - just sounds wonderful. But mainly it's that fender sound that I feel just cannot be beaten.

I have that exact setup, and love it!
