“Home Built” 1951 PRECISION BASS in BEAUTIFUL SUNSET ORANGE NITRO

£395

Up for sale is my “Home Built” 1951 Precision Bass “look-a-like” in Sunset Orange Nitro

Body: Warmoth Swamp Ash finished in Sunset Orange Nitro
Neck: Mighty Mite Maple with Rosewood Board 38mm Nut Width
Pickup: Lollar Original P-Bass Single Coil
Tuners: Genuine Fender Tuners
Electrics: Ki0gon wiring loom
Bridge: Gotoh 201

I built this bass in 2013 at a cost of £850.

I used it as my main gigging bass for a couple of years and it sounded amazing and really cut through the mix, but due to changing to a different genre and also wanting to thin out my collection, I’ve decided to move it on to someone who will use it more than I do these days.

It’s in good condition with a few minor blemishes here and there as you would expect from a nitro finish, but it still looks lovely and it attracts lots of complimentary comments.

I’m based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, and you are more than welcome to come and try it out for yourself.

Collection would be preferred, but I will ship if the buyer is prepared to pay for the shipping costs.

Thanks for looking.

Out of interest ;) how does the 'Lollar Original P-Bass Single Coil' pickup sound?
I would say it's definitely punchy and cuts through the mix well, especially with the type of music we were playing at the time which was mainly classic rock, ZZ Top, Thin Lizzy, Bad Co, etc, but tone/sound is a very personal thing. <_<
It's approximately 9lb 8oz which is due to the slab body, but it balances well and feels quite comfortable even with my back and neck problems.

If I may say, these photos don't do this bass justice, excellent though they are. I saw this bass in person and it is absolutely stunning, I was more tempted by it that the one I went to see! A real bargain at this price.
