Wot - no Warwick, Hofner, Rickenbacker or Musicman 2 or 4 band? The F word appears with great (some might say monotonous, heaven forbid) regularity.......

Fantastic, you lot are just brilliant! We want as diverse a range of pickups as possible to make sure the circuitry is compatible with everything, so we'd like everything you have however generic, weird, cheap, expensive, common, rare, etc.

Please send all pickups and preamps to:

Barefaced Ltd
Unit C Level 1 North
New England House
Brighton
BN1 4GH

Include any info about what they are, your return address and your T-shirt size (they're a pretty neat fit once they've been washed a few times, so if you're between sizes tell us the larger size).

Many many thanks! Very excited about how awesome the end result of this project will be.

Alex

If it really helps, I can strip out the electronics from a Warwick active Corvette, either 4 or 5?

Sent.

The local post office asked me what was in the package 'for security reasons' and had a bit of a panic when I told them it was a couple of strongish magnets, but in the end they slapped a 'danger! magnets!' sticker or somesuch on the parcel and off it went.

I had no idea there were restrictions on sending magnetic materials.

I looked it up when I got home and the rule is

'Magnetised material: Magnetised material with a magnetic field strength of 0.418A/m or more at a distance of 4.6m from the outside of the package is prohibited'

I' m guessing the pickups are no where near strong enough to be banned, but I don't where to start with measuring magnetism or what equipment you'd need to do it.

That's about it really. I've a bass I'm looking to sell, but would like to swap the pups before I move it on.

Or, Alex, do you have any interesting reports for us on how the experiments are going?

No. Was wondering about this the other day as I have a bass waiting for the pickup I lent him.

Haven't heard a word since posting it off. :(
