Just so much material from him, also his contribution to other artists was immense.
Great musician all round.

Sad... I remember I had the chance to help as roadie for the Clarke/Duke Project in a jazz festival in Andorra many years ago. I think I still have a copy of the rider, stage map, etc. That was a great gig, Stan as always doing his thing down with the crowd, only limited by the length of his cable! I guess I was really young then... Must have been 1989-90, cause I also saw Miles Davis live in the same weekend...

this vid is not ronnie's but very similar small jazz club... (and Uncle Remus one of the few zappa songs with shared writing credits)

Very sad news - saw him at Jazz Cafe in 2004 and it was one of the best gigs I've seen - the band busted through Cosmic Debris which was dazzling then the next moment he did an improvised semi-classical thing on the keyboard and it had the band and several audience members in tears - it was very moving indeed. A great muso and obviously a great guy - RIP GD.

Very sad news.
I recently discovered 'Faces In Reflection' from the early 70s and it was a music changing moment for me. One of those albums so good that I had to buy it twice.
Keyboards on it are unbelievable (as is the rest of the musicianship).

Oh what a damn shame. He was brilliant. Loved his work with Zappa. A very sad loss to his friends and family, and to music :(

Indeed. I was listening to Over-Nite Sensation just this morning (and Roxy & Elsewhere yesterday).

one of the best keys man who has ever lived, as well as one of the best all round musicians. a true all rounder was George. im not going to be sad though because he left me so much amazing music to listen to.. i think thats the best way to look at him and his music.
