Just tried to recall all my basses...its a fair list.

Recommended Posts

I know I'm missing some, I'm sure they'll pop in my head over time. From the list there's only a few I'd want back, my treasured early 90's ray,
Still can't look at pics of that :-(
My replica relic fender p bass, cause I put a lot of work into it, the Marcus miller, the flamed streamer LX and the status energy 6 if I still played sixers.

Yeah I've had a few :) there's a definite theme of jazz basses, rays and Warwicks with a few randoms.
It's interesting to note that I only own three these days, two passive jazz basses and my bassmaster funk. I went through a lot of basses and a lot of mods to find out that for practical gigging, for me, a passive jazz bass covered all my needs.

Peavey International 4 string
(The first bass I ever actually owned, and every bass I play I compare to this one... Still gig it regularly!)

Shine SB-26 6 string SOLD
(My second bass! The first time I ever played a 6 string... had never even seen a 5 string before I got this!)

H&S Sequoia 6 string SOLD
(Looked and sounded cool, but was a pile of sh*t. Owned it for about a year.)

Peavey Grind 6 string
(Back to Peavey! I put off buying this because the stock photo made it look ugly as hell... How stupid of me!)

Peavey International 5 string
(Because after trying pretty much every type of bass, I only ever really liked Peaveys!)

I'm also awaiting delivery of a Peavey Zodiac Scorpio DE ;)

I have always hankered after a Bravewood, now have one on order. My previous list is relatively short, over the last 30 odd years;

early '70s Fender Musicmaster bass ex Joe Brown

1st series JV Fender logo Squier Jazz

2nd series JV ( Squier Logo) Jazz

'62 Jazz Oly white bought from Randy Hope-Taylor

'65 Jazz Candy Apple Red

early '80s fretless Tokai Jazz Sound

'79 fretless Stingray bought from Pino Palladino via the Gallery

Godin fretless A5

Washburn AB10

Sold the Musicmaster to buy the 1st Jv, regretted it , so have kept everything since.

Actually, whilst I'm here, I'll see if I can recall my basses too. Not a long list mind. My amplification has changed massively in comparison though!

Marlin Sidewinder
Washburn B??
Fender P Bass (late 60's poss)
Tobias 6 natural
Tobias 6 red
Conklin Bill Dickens 7 string
Aria GT
Shuker 6 (buckeye)
Shuker Singlecut 7 string
Shuker Headless 6 string
Ibanez Gerald Veasley 6
Ibanez Acoustic 5 something or other
Fender Power Jazz Bass Special
Fender non-export CIJ US Vintage Precision
Status Energy 6 Fretless

My flock is quite small these days and most of these have left. The custom Shukers take care of pretty much everything these days!

I've said it once and ill say it again, as a Peavey fan you NEED to get yourself a T40.
It's like a radiohead fan without a copy of Kid A
or a stone roses fan with out a copy of the stone roses
[s]or a Man U fan who's never been to Old trafford[/s]... actually forget the last one

List? LIST? That first list looks more like a book to me.

Still, I'll play along.

1. Fender Precision USA (borrowed from my Brother-in-law for years)

2. 1989 Fender Precision MIJ (bought when my Brother-in-law finally lost patience)

3. Er, that's it.

I really haven't got the hang of this GAS thing have I?
