  1. G&L Kiloton looks a good one as well, especially at this price. I have an SB2 and is one of the best basses I've owned. https://www.andertons.co.uk/g-l-tribute-kiloton-bass-candy-apple-red-maple-fretboard?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxZnU1Man_AIVhLTtCh0SqAC0EAQYASABEgIocPD_BwE
  2. i stuck a pair of Lace Sensor Manowar's in my HB JB75 and it sounds killer! love it.
  3. I love my HB JB75. I got mine last year as I couldn't not buy one for £120 or whatever it was. I have had it modded with Lace Sensor Manowar pickups, a babicz bridge, a new wiring loom with a pickup blend rather than VVT, Wilkinson tuners and a white MOP scratchplate for that Geddy look with all black hardware. It's as heavy as an aircraft carrier but an absolute huge amount of tone on tap with the new pups and looks like it's worth thousands not hundreds (well to me anyway). The guys in my band prefer the sound of it to my Sandberg and my G&L!!
  4. That Cali looks suspiciously like my old one that I put markings on, sold it a good few years back if it is my one. I do miss that pedal, it was amazing.
  5. Thanks matey, yeah I cant see any of these for sale anywhere in the country right now. I really don't want to do it but I have a 1989 SB2 and a few others to keep me company. Sad times.
  6. hope you guys dont mind me doing this but it seems the best place to mention it as its L2000 related. ive just had to drop the price on my 2019 CLF L2000 to get it out the door as ive just bought a new house and i need the funds. Details are on my ad in the for sale section. Gutted to be shifting it as its stunning and I want to keep it. Hope thats ok to mention.
  7. Ive just bought a house and this sexy thing needs to go. Dropped the price to an insane £1000 for a brand new instrument! No haggling on that price caus thats stupid low.
  8. Welcome to the club, yours is a beauty. I have a black one and I bloody love it.
  9. So glad I stumbled on this topic. I have a 2019 CLF L2K and an '89 SB2 and I recently put the L2K up for sale here. After reading all your comments on using different settings and spending time on it, I took it out the case tonight and really started to see what this beast can actually do and how to use the tone controls more effectively, rather than just crank it all up. Think I'm gonna take it off sale now as I loved having a noodle on it, and damn it plays so good.
  10. Cheers matey, yeah they are great aint they! Once you go MFD, you don't go back! lol. I certainly won't mind if no one grabs this as I know its so good.
  11. possibly trade for a 4 String Euro Spector with PJ pickups... hit me up!
  12. Thanks dude, yeah the quality of these are just stunning. Best control knobs in the business I think. I am so torn on selling it as it's so damn good. Won't be a shame if no one bites.
  13. I have an unopened pack of these for sale. I got two packs to try but I'm not getting on with them so these can go. Price includes postage.
  14. SOLD Just bought a house that needs a new boiler so rushing this one out the door. Sadly I am parting ways with this absolutely stunning as new 2019 G&L CLF L2000. I bought this only 4 months ago and it has not lett my house since. It is as new, not a mark or blemish on it. It is set up fantastically and plays so so nicely. The variety of sounds you can get from this is just amazing and you can go from fat P bass to honky J bass to Stingray all in one go! Its just amazing. I am a huge G&L fan and believe they are the best basses that Leo designed. I bought it to pair up with my old SB2 and I love seeing them together but I need to be honest with myself and say that this one will not be getting much use as I have 3 other basses to use as well. The only thing I have done is install Dunlop strap locks. The originals are in the case with all the COA and case candy. She weighs in at a pleseant 4.1kg. I am located in Biddulph, Stoke on Trent and will gladly allow people to come and have a play and try it out. I can also ship out at your cost but I will make sure it is fully insured for us both. £1250 is what I paid 6 months ago and its not been out the house! I will consider a trade for a 4 string Euro Spector ideally with PJ pickup config, the more black, the better! Here is the burb. Pickups: Two G&L Magnetic Field humbucking pickups Body Wood: Swamp Ash Neck Wood: Hard Rock Maple with Maple fingerboard Neck Profile: CLF/G&L 1 5/8" slim C with 9 1/2" radius Frets: Medium Jumbo, Jescar 57110 18% nickel silver Tuning Keys: Custom G&L "Ultra-Lite" with aluminum tapered string posts Bridge: Leo Fender-designed G&L Saddle Lock with chrome-plated brass saddles Electronics: Tri-Tone™ system with 3-position pickup selector, series/parallel switch, 3-position pre-amp mode switch, volume, treble, bass Case: Deluxe Tolex hardshell
  15. bloody love this bass. It looks like mine! hahaha.
  16. wow as if it was bigger originally?? Its pretty P bass size to me so wouldn't want it any bigger than that. Its definitely larger than my SB2. The range of sounds that come out of it is just incredible. Leo really knocked it out the park with the electronics on this bass. On most dual pickup basses, the bridge pickup always sounds too thin and weak to use on its own but not this beast. Love it.
  17. It's stunning mate, I tried one at PMT Birmingham last year and fell in love. Got this one which is almost new for close to £500 off new price.😍.
  18. So I have recently acquired a stunner of a 2019 G&L CLF L2000 that has joined my little G&L family along with my 1989 SB2. I love this thing so much, its like a Stingray on steroids and is so comfortable to play. Fit and finish is miles ahead of anything else for this price being a hand build USA instrument. I have a huge thing for G&L as not much stands up to them, especially those MFD pickups! Just thought I would share the moment!
  19. No word of a lie, she just told me 10 minutes ago that it makes her happy seeing me happy with a bass guitar. If that is not a win in life then I don't know what is. 😂😂
  20. The whole thing just feels better to be honest. Weight is at around 8.5lbs which is so good. The pickups are amazing which is a big plus as I ended up taking out the standard ones in my MK1 TM2. The setup on it is just perfect as well.
  21. So my incredible other half surprised me on Christmas morning and gave me this incredible Sandberg that I had been drooling over since it landed at Bass Direct. I feel very very lucky indeed to have a girly that would do this and the fact that it is the best Sandberg I have ever played or owned. My older two (one I sold a while back) were the first generation ones and I had only played one of the second generation ones a few years back and had noticed the improvements they had made. Safe to say this thing has blown me away with how good it is and I love it to bits already. I just thought I would share some porn shots with you. My old TM2 is now hiding scared.
  22. I've got one and it's awesome!!! That is a bargain.
