After some agonizing I have decided to sell my 1990's T-Bass!!!! I want roughly £600 for it but I'm interested in any offers. Please email [email protected] if interested. I live in Oxford UK. I play guitar a lot more these days and sadlly I need the cash.

I got it from The Bass Centre in London back in 2005. It is 4 - string right handed.

Designed by Status for Trace Elliot.

Active/passive, 2 x vols and and hi/lo boost in active mode. Dummy coil underneath 'plate acts as hum-cancelling coil. Also sports zero fret, the monorail bridge design and the Trace/Status 'ergonomic tuning system. No case but will supply gigbag.

The serial number is '061. The Bass was made pre- Gibson take over. I've recently read that there were only 100 made at this time.

If you have it, See Bassist Dec 98 for review!!!

...................if not, here is harmony central

It has a lovely Two Tone Sunburst finish. You can see it here (although this example shows a 5-String Version!!!)

If you email I'll send you a picture of anything you like.

If you're not interested you don't have to post anything. It's easy.

We're all adults in here right?[/quote]

He's only offering a suggestion which will help you sell your bass. If you have time to send emails then you've got time to post a couple of pictures! Assuming ten people enquire about your bass would it not be easier to post pictures once so they can all view your bass, rather than send the pictures ten times as emails? If I was going to spend £600 I'd expect the seller to be willing to post some pictures of the bass! Somehow I don't think it's your lack of pictures that's going to hinder your sale though :)

Or a minimum post threshold.

I'm not sure experience is the key. I'm a relative newbie here but I like to think I consider the reader when I post.

Got to say mate I was looking at your original post and about to PM you, then I read your response to what seemed an innocent bit of advise! :)

We all 'read' things in different ways and you may well have misinterpreted the suggestion of posting pics differently to I, just as others (and myself) may have misunderstood your response!

How about taking a step back, putting some pics up... oh and getting me an accurate weight! :)

The seller can act as he wishes in his thread as long as he doesn't break any forum rules, even if it is self-destructive. I'm sure people can read this so far and determine if they wish to liaise with the seller, so no more negative comments please :).

No minimum post threshold is going to be introduced in the forum, so the 'more experienced' members may have to get used to this fact.

Lucid - your Avitar - I didn't know anyone else had even heard of that lovely song.

:) Are you an East End market trader?

It's not a rule, but it is general custom and practice on here to post decent, detailed pictures of YOUR bass, so people can make an informed choice. Details of condition, any issues, specifications, weight, etc. are all very useful too. You want to sell it, right?

Lack of such, and general rudeness to other members, in the For Sale fora may necessitate, in the end, a trip to Cash Converters, or a listing on the Bay of E.

I know you're new here mate, so this is a little friendly advice so you don't wreck your reputation before you're out of the starting gate.

Cheers,
Nigel
