3. Thanks Dave - still arguing with myself whether or not to put my beloved Jazz up for sale to get some funds together to put towards this. In the meantime - have a bump.
4. I take it these are American? Also, if the badass is replaced with the original bridge, would there be any tell tale signs? i.e. were extra holes required that will be on show? Lovely looking bass!
5. Brilliant basses these. I have one in the same colour configuration. Nice and light for long gigs (or those with back issues)and the bass is really comfortable. £750 is a good price. Best of luck with the sale.
6. That is a stunning looking bass and in great condition. Buy with confidence from Hutton, he is one of the good guys
7.
I've joined up now, and all set to take part on Saturday.
A word of advice - keep away from the 'for sale' section Welcome aboard matey.
8. This is great news Pete. Been reading your 'just bought a EUB' thread and i'm tempted to give one a go myself. Never had either a DB or an EUB in my sticky paws before but seriously tempted. Best of luck with the demo
9. How'd it go, how'd it go, how'd it go............?? Pics please.
10. Wouldn't it be great if the bass could find its way up to the London Bass Show and be used by some of the performers there? Don't know how/if this could be organised but the publicity would be good amongst the wider bass playing community. Just a thought. Any of the organisers/exhibitors on here?
11.
+ 1 Really good rehearsal = iffy gig Iffy rehearsal = Good gig
This is the truth! Don't know how/why - it just is!
12. No experience of any recent wireless systems except the G30 but it just works. You need look no further.
13. I'm loving the way this thread is going - it's got all the makings of a great film :-)
14. That is EXACTLY what a stingray should look like. Right colour scheme, right condition - just right! If only I had the money...sigh!
15. WOT a fantastic opportunity. Have a brilliant gig. I'd take both bergs!
16. OK - make yourself a brew, find a comfortable seat and have a listen to the soundbites contained in here. http://bassemporium.com/?p=4446
17. Andy Cooke - Bolton, Lancs. Where the M61 is cobbled.
18. You're all flippin' MAD!!!! I'm in. Just thinking though, this could end up being an administrative nightmare to organise/keeps tabs on. Why not let it take its own course. What i'm thinking is that BC Member A has the bass - uses it on a gig/rehersal whatever, has photos taken then uploads them to the thread. It is then up to him to contact someone local and pass it on. BC member B then takes the responsibility of where it goes next. Be interesting to see where it ends up.
19. Does your degreaser have to come from Poland or will you accept suggestions from other countries?
20.
People are pissed before they go out in Bolton! I live down the road from ya pal in Atherton. It's worse there!
I kmow the Jolly Nailer and the Letters Inn. Oh.....and Kais performance who did a fantastic job modifying the suspension on my Z1000. Used to work at Hamilton fabs (just behind the Nailor) 20 odd years ago. They made the facias for McGregor amps at the time. My band aren't allowed to play gigs in Atherton. Our guitar players ex-wife lives there and if she ever found out we were playing it could prove to be eventful apparently. regards.
