1. These are fantastic basses that bridge the gap between the American Standards and a custom shop. Bargain price too (and in the right colour scheme). Have a bump on me.
2. Forty Five Hundred Times - Nuff said
3.
With the Squier I'm not going to be spending a great whack on it, I have played one and enjoyed it and theres always the possibilty to easily modify if i feel it needs it..
Sounds like you've already made your mind up. Go for the Squier - it's a great bass for the money and you won't lose a Kings Ransom if you find that fretless isn't for you. They always seem to be in demand on the secondhand market. Even better, buy a good second hand one and if you decide to sell, you probably get back what you paid for it - the chance to try it out for free
4. 'Something' and 'And Your Bird Can Sing' are 2 that I enjoy playing.
5. If bumping is an issue, is it possible to add the 36 hour bumping button, but rather than not being allowed to bump within the 36 hour time frame, leave it up to the seller whether he bumps or not with the proviso that if they bump within 36 hours a bumping fee of say £1 is charged. In fact, if you have a £2:00 advertisement fee (which is very low IMO), charge £1 per bump anyway. This will not only generate funds for the site but will encourage people to bump economically. One advert + 8 bumps = £10 - still reasonable compared with ebay. You could go further and charge £1 to edit the original post thus hopefully getting a better quality of information first time. I think this would help to allieviate some of the issues discussed. A £20 subscription fee should cover all ads & bumps. The system also needs to be simple - like Amazon's 'one-click' charging system. It should also be in the original 'for sale' section not the new classifieds as this promotes good feedback from the community. Free bumps from others should still be allowed and their value will be greater than ever for the seller - thus imparting a greater community - relationship building - ethos. There we go chaps - sorted
6.
But if you are only selling a set of strings, for example, that price would be excessive and offputting. Maybe just charge a joining fee for the site itself? Then everyone pays a small amount rather than hitting the sellers disproportionately.
A very good point. I hadn't really thought of the lower value stuff - too much time spent in the 'basses for sale' section So either a yearly subscription, a price per ad based upon percentage, or free ads for items under a certain value say £100?
7. Yep - pay per ad is the fairest way. If someone only sells one item within a year, the suggested £20 fee may be off-putting. If they sell 10 items the £20 fee would be very attractive. How about £5-10 per ad?
8. These. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000UJ8RHE/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk Bargain IMO
9. Hi Peter, I was having the same problem last week and I found that this helped http://basschat.co.uk/topic/192707-uploading-photos/page__hl__upload__fromsearch__1 Best of luck and have a bump for a great sounding bass.
10.
Bassface2K10 has one of these - speaks very highly of it...
'Tis a fantastic bass. Jazz bass sounds on steroids and a really comfortable and lightweight bass. Ideal for anyone looking for a well made and beautiful looking bass that won't give them back problems.

12. Had the very same synth for 3 decades and the same piano module. Hope these were also Bontempi
13.
I had the 5 string version of this and was afraid to play it in case I scratched it or got a dent on it. Spent more time staring at it on a stand as it was a beauty. If I had £1800 I wouldn't hesitate. If you like MM, you will love this as these are the cream on the Ernie Ball bun. Have a bump.
Thanks for that bassman344. It really is a thing of beauty. This is my 'Sunday best' bass. Frightened to take it to rehersals and some of the gigs that we play in shall we say the rougher parts of town for fear of it getting a knock. As such, it's been handled with great care and there isn't a mark on her. Sounds wonderful as well irrespective of which combination of pick-ups you select. There isn't a bad sound in there. Seems a shame to have such a good bass being under used so I was thinking maybe a Stingray HS or HH and put a few quid back in my depleted bank account. If she doesn't sell, I won't be too upset as she's a beaut. I just need to re-calibrate my mindset and use her more. Thanks again for your bump.

Help BC
I've donated - it was thanks to the BC community that I've picked up a Zoom B9 for an absolute steal.
Ha Ha - it was thanks to the BC community that i'm always flippin' skint! There was a time not so long ago that my one bass that i'd owned for years was enough. I didn't even think of changing it. Since coming on here i've bought and sold more than is healthy. And the dreaded GAS is still not kept at bay. Forget changing the for sale section in the forum to the new classifieds. Get rid of any opportunity to buy, sell or trade and i'll be back in the black and my marriage may last a bit longer Keep up the good work. I'll throw a few quid into the coffers when i've paid off my debts.
15. Sorry chaps but you're all wrong. Has to be tort. Edit: on second thoughts, I was wrong and you are right: Black.
16. That really is an awful lot of bass for the money. Good luck with the sale.
17. Great thread! It's good to feel the positive vibe coming through. There is so much moaning around these days that this makes a refreshing change. My current band have had some issues in the past, so much so that I was going to walk a few short months ago. We have however worked through the issues and have found the direction that we all want to persue. Happy, oh yes! The band has become closer through sorting out our differences, compromises have been found and it is a real pleasure to be part of something that now works well. The old team building model (forming, storming, norming, performing) is very relevant. It has taken us a couple of years but, we are now performing well together. Anyone having issues, stick with it, remain positive and don't let things fester. Communicate!
18.
I have a shuttlemax 6. Seriously impressive amps, there's so many tone shaping options (probably more than I'll ever need!) The only fault (and it's one that really annoys me) is that the feet on mine are plastic, which on a lightweight amp means it slides all over the place when playing at volume. I think the reason it annoys me so much is that it would have been very easily fixed with rubber feet. Rant over, brilliant amps, light as a feather, effing loud and sound great.
I had the same problem - cured with some anti-slip matting cut down to size and rolled over the top of the cab. The amp just sits on top. Got mine from B&M Bargains for about 79p. I've gone slightly oversize so that my tuner also sits on the mat (plugged in to the back of the amp). 19. That's nice! Unfortunately I have a Hercules stand so it wouldn't really work for me Have a bump.
