1. Hi, been looking for a D-Tuner for my Stingray (the BT1 I think). Already got a HE6C - 1/2" on my USA Jazz Deluxe and it's brilliant. Have a bump on me.
2. I've just sold a Mesa Scout 1x12 radiator speaker cab to Sid and I could not have hoped for a more pleasurable transaction. Great communication, great sense of humour and very prompt payment. He was also kind enough to send me a message immediately the speaker arrived to let me know that it had arrived safely. I have no hesitation in recommending Sid as being a top bloke to deal with as the other members that have contributed to his feedback section have already stated. Deal with total confidence. Thanks again Sid, regards, Andy.
3. Both the combo and the extension cab are now sold - thanks for all the interest.
4. Bump for a brilliant cab, in excellent condition for a great price. £250 and it's delivered to your door.
5. Try both - whichever makes you smile the most is the one to go for.
6. Combo now sold - thanks for all the interest. 1 x 12 ext cab still available and price has now dropped to £250 delivered to mainland UK addresses.
7. I have just completed a most enjoyable transaction with John. He bought my Mesa Walkabout 1 x 12 combo and throughout the process John couldn't have been more pleasant, flexible and accommodating. Great communication throughout and prompt payment - what more could you ask for? John is a real gent and a knowledable and talented bass player. I wouldn't hesitate to enter into further transactions with him in the future or recommending him to anyone as being a top guy to deal with. Many thanks John. Enjoy your new amp. regards, Andy.
8. I have just enjoyed a most pleasant transaction with Chris. He bought my Yamaha TRB5PII to add to his fine collection of basses. Great communication, prompt payment and some really welcome feedback advising me that the bass had arrived safely. Chris is a real gent and I wouldn't hesitate in engaging in further transactions with him in the future or recommending him to anyone as a top guy to deal with. Many thanks Chris for a totally pain-free experience. Enjoy your new bass. regards, Andy.
9. All PM's replied to. Oh yeah.........and a happy new year to all.
10. This is a stunning looking bass - the dreaded GAS has struck once again. Lack of funds at the moment mean that this is out of reach to me though. Someone will get a bargain. Have a bump.
11.
You have a PM
And replied.
12.
now you see, that is just a nice thing , shame I am not able to at the moment, unless you will take my brothers kidney in a trade, although it is still insitu at the moment just give me the nod and its yours
Thanks for your kind offer, i'm sure your brother will be delighted. Both my kidneys are just fine at the moment, however following a couple of recent social gatherings on the run up to Christmas, my liver has taken a bit of a pounding. I know I wasn't after any trades but I would consider a new liver plus cash my way if I have to get through the beer I bought in for Christmas before the new year.
13.
Hi there, merry Xmas. Is the Mesa still around ? Sven
Hi Sven, merry Christmas to you also. Yes, both the combo and the extension cab are still available best regards.
14.
Don't suppose you fancy some sort of trade for a Mesa 600M-pulse head plus powerhouse 410 cab? ....... Really need to downsize but want to keep that Mesa sound.... Damn the GAS.....
Oh my.......i'd love the 600 M-pulse head & 4 x 10 but I’m not looking for trades at the moment. I’ve just treated myself to a new amp and cabs so the boogies have to go as they’re now surplus to requirements. Cheers,
15.
I miss mine, also that's what Ben Kenney (Incubus) use (x2): http://www.uberproau...r-and-equipment
Yep...I think i'm also going to miss these when they're sold. They've served me well during the time i've had them and the only reason they're up for sale now is due to the damn GAS that I had when I went to Bass Direct last Saturday Is it just me or do other bassists change perfectly good gear that more than suits their needs just coz they fancy a bit of a change?
16. Hi all, i've just bought a new amp and cabs so the Mesa combo and extension cab have to go. Both are in really good condition with no issues whatsoever. Also included are the slip covers and a high quality speaker lead. The combo is the latest model (single input with the toggle switch). The extension cab does not have the speak-on connections which are a more recent addition made by Mesa. The combo is 4 ohm (so a full 300 watts output is achieved as a standalone unit) and the extension cab is 8 ohm. I've used the combo on its own for rehersals and smaller gigs but the set up really comes into its own when the extension cab is connected for those larger venues. Plenty of punch and clarity with a warm tubey tone. It also gives more headroom......oh, and it's blooming loud as my bands guitarist once said "it rumbles ya chunks". Both easily fit onto the back seat of my car, are lightweight and are easy to handle. Specs are here....http://www.mesaboogi...t/WalkScout.htm http://www.mesaboogi...out-1x12-LG.htm Pricewise, i'm looking for [s]£1100 [/s]£1000 for the pair if collected or £1050 delivered to mainland UK, or will split - [s]£800[/s] £775 for the combo (collected) £800 delivered , [s]£300 £275[/s] £250 for the cab (delivered to mainland UK). I'm based in Bolton (Lancashire). Any tests are welcome and I make a really good mug of tea! Feedback is here. 17. I'd buy something used off here - if you fancy a Fender deluxe or a Stingray, go for it. Should cost you anywhere between around £700 - 900 depending upon age/condition etc. If you decide it's not for you, it can be re-sold on here for around what you paid for it. If you decide you like it, you have a cracking instrument that someone else has taken the depreciation on. Simples!
18.
Daily Bump! Neck Through instrument, not Bolton!
I'm from Bolton. Have a bump.
19. That's nice......really nice!!! My TRB5PII has a bubinga top with a really nice grain but the one in the Talkbass post is just stunning. [attachment=94183:Basses 030.jpg)

21. I have a 2009 model 4 string American deluxe jazz and it's fantastic. This pans between the 2 pups and the tones are to die for - typical Fender and a great sound can be found that is appropriate for any mix. No passive function just 18v active but that suits the sound i'm after - a sort of hi-fi version of the classic Fender tones. No issues with unwanted noise whatsoever, the noiseless pups really are! The quality is superb, it's lightweight and has a smaller body than a standard jazz so it doesn't look ridiculous on me (being a bit of a shortarse). The neck just feels right in my (small) hands - again quality all the way. Gripes? Yes, there are 2. The pre-amp isn't as powerful as i'd like. By that I mean that the change in tone when you roll on/off the bass, mid and treble is subtle rather than shall we say overpowering - compare this with my TRB5PII which is 9v and the difference is very perceptable with the TRB being very capable of shaking the ground with the bass is rolled on or slicing your head off with the treble. Having said that, all the tones sit very well in the mix with the jazz whereas I have to be careful with the TRB that I don't overdo it. 2nd gripe is the access/positioning of the 2 x 9v batteries. A little black plastic coverplate on the rear that is removed with 2 screws, then you have to really fiddle around to get the batteries slotted into a very tight space is not good for a bass costing well in excess of £1000 when new. The TRB's battery can be changed in seconds as can the battery in my Stingray. Much more profesional looking than that of the jazz. I've considered fitting a John East preamp to 'improve' things but i've not been able to do an A-B test with another bass with one fitted to see if the difference would be worth it and can find nothing on You Tube or Johns website. Heard good things about them though. Anyone out there made this modification? All in all thgough a terrific bass that I use most of the time now. The TRB gets used maining when I need the low B string and the stingray when i'm after 'that' tone.
