1. I'm not sure if you actually have an interest in Greek culture or it's just a username but I came across this word: Psilos which means bare/smooth/uncovered in ancient Greek. Thought it would be quite fitting for the nature of the design and finish.
2. As mentioned, others have been in but as very background characters with very few lines if any. The Sheeran spot felt forced, almost like a SNL sketch or something. I know in the books Arya does come across a singing soldier so it fits but he didn't need to go "yeah, it's a new one". One shot of his face singing would have been enough to show he was there like the other "guest spots" Anyway, it's done now
3.
For me the problem with Yamaha is that the model numbers don't tell you much, you say a BB series, well a BBNE2 is around £3500!
This. The BB series has been through so many iterations a more specific model is needed to give you a value.
4. Can''t really go wrong for £30 if you're in the area. https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/yamaha-bb404-bass-guitar/1255300439
5. Ah that's a bummer. If you are a member of any of the music gear selling groups on Facebook it's worth plastering them and getting people to share it. Hopefully they turn up
6. In b4 Maruszczyk is recommended. Custom bass made to your spec in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, see the thread here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254344-the-official-maruszczyk-club/page__pid__3336039__st__2040#entry3336039 . Or P pickup ready to go, you could look at Yamaha BB series. New ones on the way so the higher end older models 1024/2024 are on offer and apparently incredible passive basses. Best of luck on your search!
7. Not sure how many are aware of this but there is a Musicians Hearing Scheme https://www.helpmusicians.org.uk/working-retired-musicians/musicians-hearing-health-scheme For £40 (£30 if you are an MU member) you get a hearing assessment and a pair of custom made ear plugs plus more. Not bad if you ask me.
8. Inserting announcement video: Unusual to get a 12min video from the company itself. Fair play to Epiphone. Although the perma-overdrive sound used is annoying...
9.
Sorry, my error..
Good good, just checking! Good luck with the sale
10. Nice bass, but why is there a random photo of a Maple fretboard in there?
11. Enquired....can't seem to find anything about an SVT300 cab. Anyone else got a better guess as to what model it is? EDIT: My guess is it's an SVT210HE. Happy to be proven wrong though
12. Just as well I have no where near enough cash as I'm near Dundee too! Would love to play one to see what the top end of Yamaha is like
13. For Curveball Covers you could do worse than look at older versions of Radio 1's Live Lounge Albums (Volume 1 - 2006 and Volume 2 - 2007) They have some bands doing some fun covers.
14.
Ooh - maybe some clearance bargains to be had on NOS 1025 models etc?
Yup, pretty sure GuitarGuitar and others have already been discounting stock. GG have the 1025x at £599 if that's cheap enough for you?
15. Shame there isn't a 5er with a maple board.... Still think they look great, hope the pickups are as good as the old ones! Bass Direct just posted a photo of one in the flesh and I'm digging the white with black headstock
16.
Admittedly, I want the couch more than the bass!
Maybe you'll get it as part of a loyalty scheme one day!
17. Just wondering if anyone has seen/heard/tried one of the new Richter range yet?
18. Buy now, Pay later.....Hmmmmmmm. *Must stay strong, must stay strong*
19. Here: http://www.originalscratchplates.com/
20. OooooOOoooo very interesting. Now just to find a shop that stocks one
21. That's a stupid price! Best of luck to whoever snatches that up.
22. I've never played a Sandberg, but this thread is making me want one and from this video, the Forty Eight is the one for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzyIPUVZ8u4 One day.....
23. For me, a Line6 Studio 110. Was looking for a small practice amp in any state to stick a new speaker I had in to make it a practice cab. Guy got in touch said he had an old Studio 110 that wasn't working, Line 6 had given him a replacement so this was taking up space so if I pay postage (Ok, not strictly free but close enough ). Turns up at my door and seems to work perfectly! So basically an amp for free!
24. Get in touch with Alan at Synergy http://www.synergydi...k/Sandberg.html He does Phil Jones and Sandberg in the UK and he could not have been any more helpful when I had issues with my amp. Can't recommend him enough!
25. Maybe hit up this man right here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/307248-fs-eb-music-man-stingray-5/
