1. Me too. I learned cello in school, but lefty is not an option with the violin family- no real idea why! It makes total sense to me to have my strong hand on the neck. Ive tried to learn lefty but I can only do very simple stuff. Btw I write left, bat (cricket/ rounders etc) either way, but use a mouse with my right I wah with my left foot too now I think of it!
2. This weeks board. New appearance for the b3k, but my wife seems to have commandeered my bass comp for her sax board!
3. Perhaps a boost pedal for the tapping section might be a better solution?
4. I use the mxr black label chorus. It's also marketed as the analog chorus. It isn't bass spacific, but it sounds wonderful!
5. My wife runs through a line 6 wireless via a boss ve20 to pa. I would suggest perhaps a keyboard amp would be a more appropriate way to amp it without using pa support. As an aside, my wife has started to use my mxr bass comp. It sounds great with a sax!
6. I picked up a sb p on eBay for about £60 Inc, popped some decent strings on it and a sd spb3, and I gets lots of use alongside my USA and mij p lyte. Really good bass for the money tbh. I did change the logo on the headstock too! It's now a fecker pretender
7. either a maple board or a proper marshall, rather than that guitar thing?

11. just thought it would be worth mentioning that my wife uses one of these to great effect (!) with haer saxophone - a very versatile unit!
12. e845 here It's one of the few mikes i don't blow the back out of with my foghorn voice!
13. bloody great pickups. there is a reason why steve harris uses them!
14. I see effects as colour. Some songs require black and white parts, whereas others require more colourful ones
15. It might be a dumb thing to suggest, but why not try contacting ashdown directly Often companies are prepared to send out the part for very little or even free
16. perhaps some sort of preamp/ boost before it? I have to have my sens quite low too
17. the parameters are fixed. It's all in the manual
18. The Marshall vba and DBS 7400 will run a 2 ohm load with no issues I use two 4 ohm Marshall cabs and either a hartke lh500 or Marshall 7200 DBS head (which need a maximum 4 ohm load) with a cable that runs the cabs in what was described to me as series parallel. Apparently the heads 'sees' a load of something around 6 ohms. This is what my amp tech tells me!
