1. Ben, the nano tubes has a more valvey feel, and to me sounds a little 'spongy' , where as you've heard the glove cuts really well IMO the glove is a total sleeper of a pedal. Just awesome, and only £50!
2. I'm still enjoying mine too mate. I'm using it for more 'vintage' sounds, and it sits well in the mix. I switch the tone out though rather than using it at all Nice to see someone else is enjoying it and not dismissing ehx completely
3. I had a play a good while ago. The combination of the two phases can sound amazing! Some amazing textures here. I loved the feature of setting the two phases sequentially too. Enjoy your new toy!
4. I have one of these for times when getting mains power is an issue http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281330019175 For the price it's superb. It regularly powers 4/5 pedals for a 4 hour rehearsal with no problems.
5. The only real way to get an indication of how it sounds to you is to give it a whirl somewhere. The b3k is an awesome pedal, but very definitely the little brother of the b7k. I remember when I tried my 3, it was exactly the sound I had heard in my head at that point. I had heard nothing like it before. Perhaps a 3 and an eq could be a useful compromise, although I suspect once you buy those two pedals, you may as well just go for it and get a 7
6. Me too! Looking extremely tempting !!
7. As Cosmo said, the mp models are great! I've found myself playing mine more and more, especially since I removed the stock d'addario strings and replaced them with a hefty set of roto swing bass! It growls beautifully, and sits perfectly in a busy mix
8. My wife has a boss ve20 for her sax. I've had cheeky plays with the unit over the past couple of years, and I'm tempted to get one myself for singing duties. Well worth a try Demo here :- http://youtu.be/eOL18Dhgvjo
9. I bought a di box from Martin. Arrived safe, sound and superbly packaged. A simple and straightforward transaction. Cheers dude! Deal with absolute confidence
10. Iirc the Steve Harris is jap?
11. To be honest, it's never bothered me. I can see when it's on and when it's off. The setting stays the same, so I'm happy
12. My mini board for my pub rock band. Sounded sweet in to the lh500 and mbc410, using my mp jag
13. Exactly as sibob has said. \thread
14. It's a "no-cash-here-or-I'd-have-this-in-a-heartbeat" type bump!
15. Wasn't this made as a 'treat' for the crew and not for public consumption? Still- it is pretty funny!
16. I've been using rotos for a lot of years now ( got to be 20+ by now!), and have never had a duff string from them. I've tried pretty much all of the major players, but they don't have the gritty sound I love when they're fresh. Their customer service is pretty good, and would, I imagine, be very eager to right an issue which reflects negatively on their brand.
17. I have one. I bought it at the bass show in March. The input control is very sensitive. From what I can ascertain, it is a common thing. The output is v loud, but it sounds amazingly cool.
18. Iirc the pulsar does this
19. I teach both privately, and in schools during the 'normal' working week, as well as recording work, a few bands, performance coaching, and dep work At every opportunity not only network, but start friendships. Someone that needs a player is going to contact a capable friend before a stranger. I read an article not too long ago about writing library music for ads/ TV shows etc. all these things can generate income. You will also need an understanding wife/ spouse/ partner/ family
20. The a string seems to be in tune
21. Try Richard at effectspowersupplies.com. He usually is one of the first to get stock of anything new
