1. I tried it with bass, but as shep says it doesn't do the low end any favours. There are far better drives out there for bass
2. This is the board for m function band. The only thing which may change is that I might add an octave. Not certain whether it will be the octabass or the octaplus, poss even my bod
3. I love my 410 cabs- I have two. Clear punchy and heavy
4. They seem to be quite freely available over here. Perhaps try a uk site? Effectspowersupplies.com have stock It is really pretty good!
5. The left in is a columbus and the right one a rocktek Beyond that it's tough without a better picture to see the labelling of the pots
6. Tempted with the screamer. If you still have it in a couple of weeks.......
7. Thanks for the pointers chaps. Bartelby- ill have a look and drop you a line A good knob joke is always welcome!
8. I need the knob for my zvex distortron. It looks like the small knob you get on a jazz bass, but I need some help with confirming this, as I don't use jazz basses
9. Hi I managed to drop my distortron yesterday and one of the Bakelite (I assume) knobs bit the dust. Does anyone know where I could source another? Cheers peeps
10. Perhaps, although I was chatting with Richard from Stompbox / effectspowersupplies yesterday at the show, and apparently the price is down to a new distributor. I'm told Dunlop changed due to the aggressive pricing with the previous two distributors. This does mean that all Dunlop products prices will be increasing imminently Richard does his best to be the cheapest in the country, and he has secured the entire first shipment
11. Left with a tc mini polytune, and an ews bmc. Lovely! Could quite easily have spent significant wedge.
12. I managed to meet up with mike f, big Jim, dood and a couple of others Left with a significant sized hole in my pocket, but with some awesome gear! I was really impressed with Sheldon Dingwall and his amazing super p! I'm already in talks with my luthier about a fanned project! Was very fortunate to see the entwhistle buzzard too. I was very chuffed to see the new ashdown Nate Mendel od, and the pino octave pedals. Very nearly bought a gene Simmons axe bass, but thought the wife would have had something about it. Once she'd seen the picture, she said I should have bought it! Who'd have thought that? 8) I took a young student of mine and he now is looking for a job to earn bass tokens! The only disappointment for me apart from the noise issues, was that some of the more mainstream manufacturers were conspicuous by their absence. What a perfect opportunity wasted by fender, Marshall, dean.........
13. Bought a rack bag from nick. A really honest and stand up guy to deal with! Cheers nick!
14. On the train heading up now All in black, black hat See you there
15. Bought a pedal from Alan. Stupidly easy deal. Paid on Thursday afternoon, pedal arrived Friday morning I would happily buy from Alan again anytime Cheers mate

17. My twitter is @downs_chris if anyone is interested. Bigjim- it'll be good to catch up
18. The higher rated 400 series stuff had the gold strip, but the 200 series didn't. The 400 was matched to handle the 400 w head whereas the 200 was matched to the 200w stuff. The 7152 was designed as a "one cab stack"
19. I'll be heading up definitely on Saturday and possibly sunday too, courtesy of those lovely peeps at Stompbox/ effectspowersupplies.com Look forward to maybe seeing some of you there
20. I've used the m80 to record a couple of times. It always draws compliments from engineers on the quality and strength of the signal
21. Definitely fits the bill for your situation. But as mentioned earlier, the hartke bass attack would definitely be worth a good look It's cheaper than the mxr, and the shape function can really be used to thicken the sound considerably. I dug mine out the other day, after using the mxr for years, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound the vxl makes
