1. Has everyone seen this? I would imagine it will be released at namm. Any thoughts? http://www.thomann.de/gb/morley_m2_cliff_burton_fuzz_wah.htm?sid=937725fe8e8ff2c2ecdff1d61a191f24
2. Thank you to all of you lovely people that have clicked like- 'tis really much appreciated
3.
But you can roll it in glitter!
And stick a flag in it
4. My main band- not much in the way of stuff on fb https://www.facebook.com/barbedband But most of the real promo stuff is here- http://www.classicrockwithballs.com Any and all likes/ views are very gratefully received !
5. I have to say that I had no issues with the movement of the pedal, and gradual sweeps a la cliff weren't unacheivable. If you're playing in a bedroom, or on your own this a good pedal, but if you're in a band........
6. I have one. It sounds great on its own, but for me got lost in the mix, when using the fuzz. It's a great concept- it's good to see a company really pushing the boundaries, and trying to create something new and different
7. I hope you enjoy it. The vids don't sell it to me unfortunately. Maybe if I get to try one in person, it might be different
8. I'm a bit of an mxr fanboy too. I found the same with the bass od, and the bass chorus too. They both sound pretty meh to me, and have also been down the darkglass route, and now own both a b3k and vmt. They sound great in most environments, but I have ended up with an ehx glove on my main bands board. For me the issue with the mxr bass od is the preset clean eq. I couldn't get on with losing that mid frequency presence. Dark sounding drives are great in the right situation, but without the option to temper it with a true clean sound severely limits the options.
9. They're using immigrant song in a computer game ad- destiny I think
10. Been following this thread on tb for a while now. Seems quite exciting
11. The oc2 has the same issue broadly speaking. There are a couple of alternatives, which are fairly easy to source. The ebs octabass, and mxr bass octave deluxe. (Loads of demo vids on YouTube) These are the more common alternatives. ime, the ebs does a better 'smooth' octave, whereas the mxr will do better giving a slightly harder tone. The pog is a digital octave, and can sound quite artificial. Some like it that way though, so horses for courses and all that! Your best bet is to try as many as you can, and find that which floats your boat
12. I assume it's down to differing factories over the years, as well as perceived changes in fashion. The two I have currently have different head stocks. One drop top and one reverse. Personally I don't like the batwing/ testicle rest headstock as in the link, but rather the more traditional two a side headstock seen more commonly on a mockingbird these days.
13. I have to disagree spacey- both the DBS heads and the vba heads are absolutely superb. It's just a shame that the success of their guitar line has overshadowed all other attempts to diversify their product line. Perhaps a victim of their own success?
14. ....and set to record
15.
One of these would be quite nice http://www.bcrich.com/products/view/mockingbird-plus-bass
That one is on the wish list!!
16. I've seen the double neck bitch, but I wasn't aware of a double neck mockingbird in association with Derek smalls
17. And the 'modified' versions-

19. Personally I can't stand the testicle rest headstock. It has to be either 2 a side or 4 in line for me I'm afraid
20. Cheers flateric- I think!!
21. Love bobs playing, and really enjoyed the book. If he ever decides to sell the p, I might be persuaded to take it off his hands
22. Currently I have three bcr basses- 2 warlocks (one with a reverse headstock) and an ironbird. I am desperately looking for a blood spattered warlock finish like the one in the god gave rock and roll to you II video, and would early love a mockingbird or wave or eagle come to that!! I could quite comfortably say I'm a fan!! Many sneer at these gems, but I love them to bits!!
23. Cool! Great pre. Very versatile!!!!
