  1. Probably the best option
  2. Have you tried headstock- the ibanez distributor for the uk?
  3. Not used one of those, but I've been using the polytune mini for over a year now with bass and no issues. Apparently the polytune mode doesn't work with bass, but the single string mode is absolutely fine
  4. I do it reasonably regularly. The pace is actually a 35" scale (iirc) and therefore more like playing a fretless vertically if you understand what I'm saying. So in theory the transition should be fairly straightforward
  5. I dont think there is much doubt that they do have some real gems in their catalogue. I'm really interested in giving the thunderball a good bash when we see some in retailers stores. Also waiting for the di pedal to arrive
  6. Thanks for posting those vids dude! Looks like he's using some orange cabs with his rig- hence the orange deal. Unless of course they're dummies
  7. In answer to the first part- you'd have to widen the slots in the nut to accommodate a bead tuning, but not in an mdp kinda way Tbh, it might be easier to fit a new nut
  8. I heard a rumour it's based on the ehx bass blogger. I think bigbeatnut on here has one
  9. Bought a really really old game from mel. Despite me getting finance wrong, a super easy deal. Cheers mate
  10. The tc bh250 is probably worth a look. Comes in around £230 new. There are a few guys on here that own them. The Hartke has superb bang for the buck too.
  11. Couldn't get any tickets...... Gutted That woman has a rare voice
  12. £65? I'm gassing (and probably always will!) for a Steve Harris sig, two a side aria pro 2 - sb series, maple board p bass, a westbury track 2 or 4, mooer micro di, and thunderball.
  13. Good if you want to be isolated from the mains
  14. Not sure about the orange thing- although at least one of the other guys uses them. I saw t.c and Mesa backline at donington iirc
  15. The one I played is in a standard scale, concert tuning. My mp jag is currently in d, so I doubt it would cause any issue with different tunings.
  16. Well. It plays really well, very similar to my mp jaguar. The colour is awesome. Silverburst suits this bass wonderfully. It's a pj, with separate volumes for each pup, a master tone, and a separate treble boost. Both pups sounded nice and punchy, although with the amp I was provided with to try it was not really adequate to test this feature. The inherent sound is lovely though. The neck is close to both my mp jag in feel and the vm jag I have previously had a play with. It feels as if its unfinished, rather than the gloss of the mp. All in all I think it's a lovely bass for well under £300. I'd need to give it a thoroughly good play through a significant rig before spending. Apparently there is 5 string arriving imminently too
  17. I always cut mine. Mainly for neatness' sake. I hate the beehive look of tons of string around the post.
  18. I'm off to try one now My friend has just taken delivery of one. I shal be leaving my credit card at home
  19. Mine is in25174 MIT It's the third one I've had over the years, the others have been pinched. Iirc it's the only boss pedal where the circuit has remained the same over the years with only cosmetic changes.
  20. Really enjoying the new caro emerald and trouble albums
  21. Hey guys. Anyone had a play on one yet? Looks gorgeous with the silver burst finish. I shall be having a play at the earliest opportunity since they seem to be shipping now. http://www.andertons.co.uk/electric-basses/pid30278/cid682/squier-troy-sanders-jaguar-bass.asp

  23. We have done beat it before. Goes down a storm. We've also thrown the time warp and the xentrix version of ghostbusters for hallowe'en shows. They're always fun to play, which normally means the punter has fun too
  24. Still have my nady encore system as my back up to my x2. Still works brilliantly.
  25. He runs three rigs at a time sand switches tem in and out as necessary. One clean, one slightly dirty and one filthy. The home made distortion is apparently made from wah parts.
