1. The cowboy is classic.
 2. Can they show you where in law its illegal to busk when amplified ? Sounds to me as if they have just made it up, or had a show of hands at some meeting. Im sure this could be fought it one had the time, inclination, and possibly money?
 3. dont know if this has been posted before? but its well worth a looksee. The guy can really play.
 4. The Lemmy documentary was extrememly intseresting to watch. However, for the full effect, I highly reccomend the special DVD to all fans. with an extra dvd of special extras and gigs.
 5.
i think the back of (that particular JP Heavy relic) looks very, erm... staged..)
Really ? I thought #15 was the only one that was really obvious, and theJP custom shop heavy relics were all way better than most i have seen.
 6. If you've really got to have a reliced bass (and personally i think it shows somethings wrong with anyone who dooesnt like a shiney new guitar) Then this is the way to go. Look at these pictures, in the Flicr link, below. Showing a *Fender Jaco Pastorious custom shop heavy relic jazz bass* that shows a reasonablyl professional job. No 'sanded to within an inch of its life' in the hands of the guys at the Fender custom shop. Its still obviously a relic, but done by a person who has a modicum of restraint. Which is ironic considering that it was (supposedly) Keith Richards started the whole relicing craze. 7. link is dead?
 8. I have no idea if this is relevant but is it earthed properly ?
 9. You should stop wimping out and hiding behind the "i dont want them to know im not all cool and nice' thing tell them straight Zeesh! If it gets on your nerves they cant play there own stuff (and it would get on mine) then tell them. Maybe they will have a few things to say to you. Who cares.? its not gonna be of world shattering import. jus my two bobs worth. ps: Be aware that a few clicks was all it took for me to find out the bands identity. If i can do that so can others. It would be difficult to follow you back to here, but if someone in or around the band was so inclined it could be done. I agree she cant sing, except in monotone.
 10. Possibly an Epiphone or Framus? The twin horns are the thing to look for, i dont know many bass guitars with them appart from Gibbos (cue for a deluge of examples ) Has he any idea of its age ?
 11.
Put them in a studio though and it will soon become clear that one is an el-crappo P bass and the other is a Wal.
I think you are being snobish calling a Squier P bass"el crappo" We cant all afford to throw several thousand on boutique basses.

I s**t you not!
So finally you can s#@t while you shower and shave all at the same time Oh the joys of modern living.
 13.
No..They get to open up for Primus because the singers dad used to be the drummer in Oysterhead with Les Claypool.
Plus the fact that his family run one of the worlds biggest promoters/booking agencies, cant hurt either I thought they were much of a muchness. Too similar to the Primus sound to be support for them. The worst was that the 'singers' gimicky rendition sucked.
I had a ticket and missed it. Fatality on the train line. Waited around for ages, then got a taxi home (30 odd miles) to try and get my car to discover the M1 was shut. I wouldn't have got to Brixton before 10pm. Maybe later. Gutted beyond words.
A bad evening for you. Not as bad as the poor train line fatalities, but still must have been totally gutted. Hopefully they wont wait so long to return next time. Hopefully you will see them then.
 14. Good for you Sir. enjoy.

 20. Picked it up today. The last one in any of the Dawsons chain as far as the asisstant could tell, even he thought they had all gone, so was surprized when i told him what id ordered. The Farida FPB-18 weighing in at 4Kg. With a lovely satin finish that looks good with the natural swamp ash body. Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. The good thing about this model for me is, its a P bass with a Jazz neck. Here a few early pics. Sorry about the quality, my damm camera broke, so these are phone cam pics. Will review next week when i have had a good few hours on it, probably change to flats too after a few days to see whats the diff,.

I've lost count of the number of F/S's I've passed on just because the seller won't commit to at least a ballpark figure.
I would simply consider that ["...seller won't commit to at least a ballpark figure"] , an open invite to pitch a lowball figure. Anyone doing differently is leaving themselves open to being stiffed. E pluribus Ipso facto.
