This is where memory fails me, but wasn't John Lydon's brother part of The Bollock Brothers?
Yep, Jimmy Lydon was in, The 4 be 2's and then The Bollock brothers. The records often had "produced by J lydon " on them but this was a cheap cop out as it was Jimmy not John, who was only involved in one recording.
I watched the Four Rooms with this on. I cant believe the offers they made, some of them wouldnt even cover a normal vintage bass, never mind Dee Dee's! They clearly were trying to rip him off or knew nothing about the vintage market/rock n roll heritage.
That first 'expert' offered him £500! He didnt even know that a new one would cost £1200 on the high street, never mind a vintage one, never mind one with Ramones provenance. What a bunch of dorks. Glad the seller guy had done his homework and didnt even remotely look tempted. Did you see those idiot twins though, trying to flog two signed pics of themselves taken by Damian hirst for £10,000!! what a pair of spanners. Like the bird said they are trying to get 10G for a photo that had been autographed by Hirst. They seemed to be under the missaprehension that it was one of his art works or something.
 2. So the limit is now 30 Mb ? Now i realise why i couldnt upload those pics ? I have 37mb and dont consider myself any sort of pic posting freak. If i start deleting them then threads will be devoid of pictures. If we all do it threads will be a holey imageless mess. We all know how many times an old thread can come back to life, or needs to be perused by a newbie or someone whos a tad forgetfull.
 3.
I have been realy happy with the quality and sound i get from my FJB-20 and it's the bass i use at every gig. Even my Musician has been retired since the Farida arrived. J.
Yes, I too own a Farida FJB 20, thats partly what caused me to buy the FPB 18. a pic of my Farida FJB 20 Jazz bass
 4.
In an article he once said he gets about 6 months out of a bass and then just dumps it and gets a new one. He also used to sell his ass for heroin money. I'm not sure I'd want to play one of his old basses.
So he sold his arse and took smack. Big deal! Id have his bass in a flash if I had the bread. One puzzling thing though. He now says he got it not from the Roundhouse in Camden but from The Venue, Victoria, London, (19th November 1981) I never went there but remember seeing London gigs there advertized in the NME and Sounds. Which one was it ? (see Christies link below) Christies auction link
 5. I have ordered one of these (partly on the advice of Andy from the manchester store and on this forum) I think i may have got the last one in Dawsons stores. I had to buy it at the mad price it was at. Down to £150 from a price that was already cheap at £350. A quality P bass with a swamp ash body and a jazz neck. Let you know more when i pick it up
 6.
I don't see how it is logical to assume that just because the request for an image is going to a different server, it will be retrieved any slower. What if the image server is faster, nearer, less bogged down, higher capacity? Then it's logical to assume that the images will appear more quickly, reduce strain on the BC server & make the forum quicker for everyone. In theory, if 10 images are hosted on 10 different servers, they can all be served/loaded simultaneously & speed things up a lot. What slows a server down is lots of simultaneous requests to serve lots of different & large files, so the more images that are hosted on the BC server the slower it is likely to be. Image hosting services are set up and optimised for this kind of thing and don't impose restrictions, so you can post as many pics as you like whilst keeping hosting costs down for our beloved forum owners
When i said "logically asummed the above" i meant the above bit in quotes, above my own message ie:
Does having ur pics on a public server like photobucket or the like mean you dont use up space here? Speak o wise people
7.
Does having ur pics on a public server like photobucket or the like mean you dont use up space here? Speak o wise people
But does this fetching images from another server not slow it down more than if the image were stored on the website server though ? ( i was told this on another forum, where people quite logically assumed the above)
 8. Spotted 'last one' in the window of the sue Ryder shop in Teignmouth, last thursday. £59
 9.
If you're willing to post I'll take it off you no problem .
Several people have said the same thing. I am on holiday for 2 weeks. We will see when i get back.
 10. answering my own question. this site may be of interest (i've not looked yet. but its the cab designers site) http://greenboy.us/fEARful/
 11.
There are a few threads on TalkBass about these cabs, might be more info there.
I have been there and there are maybe 8 or more parts with over 50 pages each so maybe 2000 posts to read through!!! a hugely popular thread and im only up to last year!!! If anyone can help with a concise 'how to' id be extremely greatfull, as i am really keen to try and build a high quality cab to test against others.
 12. Is there any website that has all the best 15/6 fEARful etc details in one place ?
 13. I also had a pal in the USA mail me a component. Do you have a trusted friend in the USA can do this you ? However i do think that maybe someone should alert the Ken smith company to this thread, as its nothing but bad publicity for them, hopefully they would change policy of one single price for non guitar items.
 14. # "There's a new dance thats going around. Called the bump, do the bump......," #
 15. not sure what your on about there. Can you explain a it more ? regards daz
 16. Has he not got it the wrong way around? Are you not supposed to simulate wear by sanding off a little bit of paint. He has sanded off the entire bass except for a tiny area? I suggest we find out the name of this guys teacher or the name of the infant school he's at and try and put a stop to him before he hurts himself with those tools.
 17. Man thats insane. Its a lovely bass that id buy in a second if i was able to. John Birch was a real artist.
 18. Well i have a dozen or more unchecked tickets. (I like to check them in large batches, more chance of a win) This is the last free bump off me though
 19. Who is next then. Jaquelsmac or Steve-soar or who? can anyone who has asked for but not recieved it yet let us know and we can get it moving again.

My Peavey Milestone I still for sale though at the amazing price of just 30 of the Queens pound notes. Peavey Here
