now then, I saw YOB bass and thought....... I know of the Super YOB guitar that Dave Hill played in Slade. Wow, I would buy a Super YOB bass, oh yes. Imagine my dissapointment when I realised what you were all going on about Anyway, I will have a 1965 bass, preferably British in manufacture?
What i thought too. I got all excited then.

I bought this lovely bass a few months back. (see this thread) Now due to several circumstances, some which could have been avoided, some which couldnt, I am in severe need of cash to MOT the family holiday car. As per mentioned in another thread, car repairs come to £180 so thats all im selling for, i need to shift pretty sharpish. These are £530 new in Dawsons! Plays great. Action rather low for me. These basses get excellant reviews everywhere. People reckon they are as good if not better than the American Fenders. Can be picked up from Chester. Really preffer not to post it unless absolutely no other choice. I preffer to hand over where both sides can see its got no breakages, then get into some mad dispute, when its all the fault of some club handed parcel force goons.

Peavey Milestone Mk I for sale £30 I got it for that on ebay last year, so cant in all good conscience ask for more. I was lucky that week ebay was awash with similar basses if i recal correctly. These Milestone Mk I jazz bass are apparently quite rare. there was some discussion on the forum last year when i bought it. Everyone thought it was actually a MKIII, which is much more common. Until a MKIII owner pointed out that his has a longer top horn. Cant really find out anything about them except they are scarce as hens teeth. Im only selling it because my just failed my MOT last week, its gonna cost me £200 to get done. I am broke ass poor, as were suposed to be on holiday in 3 weeks with me taking them in my car! Yes i know I'm stupid, just didn't think it'd fail so bad this year, after sailing through last year. Probably gonna have to sell the Farida FB20 jazz i bought only a few months back too Ill sell it for what i got it for if i do. My own stupid fault etc etc. Don't particularly want to post it. I am in Chester for picking up. May have to ebay it if no one wants it here. Thats not rust on the tuners it was a bit of graphite grease mixture or something, wiped off anyway.

If you were wondering why I have been so quiet recently...

Never played on either a Dingwall or a fanned fret bass (Are they mutually exclusive?) Have to rectify this at the next Bass Day. -

I am sure no offense was intended. (for those that don't know) OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder, it can take many forms from crippling preoccupation with repetitive actions such as washing hands again and again (or a certain number of times) or violent or religious thoughts. Or maybe counting the number of paving stones in a walk or number of steps taken. Excessive neatness is also a symptom. Ruby wax told of how after stringently cleaning an already spotless house, her mother would get out a tape measure and set square and make sure all the furniture was in exactly the right place: IE the TV had to be exactly 20 inches from the back wall and each side had to be the exact same distance from the side walls. OCD can take many forms such as obsessive collecting, which i think was obviously (to me anyway) what was meant here. Many people have this in greater of lesser forms. I'm sure we have all marveled at pictures of rooms literally bursting with basses, often of the same type or even the same colour. Some may laugh it of as GAS when it really is a bit more serious and costs relationships to be ended. Mild forms of OCD can pop up at any time often in times of Stress. such as constant coughing or clearing of ones throat. I used to do the latter myself. I was vaguely aware of doing it, but not until, someone i had only known a while told me it was getting on his nerves, did i realize anyone else had noticed it. Frankly I'm glad he said it, as I'm sure within a few weeks id stopped doing it. I'm sure all that Gub meant was a mild dig at your number of same type of guitars, no offense intended. -
what ever happened to this bass ?

Depends what you want to paint with it? Fences, yes guitars, maybe, cars, no way. If you dont have your own quality shooter, then better to go with rattle cans. You can get very good finishes. If you take care to practice first. 1) dont try and get every drop from thr tin, 2) keep the nozzles clean and clear them after using, 3) warm the spray cans to room temp first and dont spray in the cold/damp/dusty enviroments. Then you can get some very fine finishes even from rattle cans.
