1. You're not wrong there Gareth. Tell me, will my constant pursuit (actually, 'weakness' is probably a more appropriate term!) for different gear ever end? haha No, I'm happy with what I have (for now!). Will just leave this add up to gauge interest (even though I might not even sell!)
2. Cheers folks. Aye, it's a great amp. The only negative is the weight - it weighs about the same as I do! Lifting your own body weight up two flights of stairs is not fun. It looks so darn nice though - thinking about just keeping it in the flat as eye candy. I think I have finally decided that Ashdown is the sound for me. I have an electric blue 1x15 combo, a recently aquired ABM 2x10 combo and the Klystron 4x10 combo. I'm trying to justify keeping all three - an amp for any eventuality is what I keep telling myself! Also, I have three bass guitars so if I got rid of one of the amps then surely that would ruin my equilibrium? . . haha
3. One knob missing too! Do you guys think £500 is a fair price? It's a decent bit of kit for that money . . . Let me know what you think . . .
4. For sale Ashdown Classic Klystron C410H-500. 575 watt combo amp with 4x10' speakers + horn. Used condition - I bought as an ex demo so it has been around the block a bit. A few scuffs here and there and the volume and gain pots could do with a clean but all round a great amp in good working order. I keep buying big amps but then soon get sick of lugging them around! They just look so cool though! And this one in particular sounds magic - especially with the sub harmonic. I would like £500 for it. Can't really say fairer than that. I'll take some pics if there is any interest. Here's a link for specs: http://www.electromusic.co.uk/Ashdown-Classic-Klystron-C410H-500.html I live in Edinburgh. Feel free to come demo the amp. Cheers, Kelso
5.
fixed
Cheers! For a minute there I almost thought I sounded like I knew what I was talking about! Ah well, better luck next time I suppose
6.
Where did you get the bass from ?? looks fantastic !!!
Thanks man! Got it from a dealer in the US (it was on ebay) - Simon (fellow Basschatter) helped me to make the deal. Glad you like it! I should have it early next week - the anticipation is killing me! Cheers
7. Sorry BIG J, this case has been sold. I can't edit the title of this thread for some reason. Just to clarify: THE CASE IS SOLD. Cheers, Kelso
8. I doubt this was ever a signature release but thought I'd post it anyway. Hope that's ok? Mr. Big is my guilty pleasure and Billy Sheehan is one of my all time favourite bassists. I think this bass is a stunner! Love the humbucker and single coil combo . . .
9. Ok you tough lot this is my final offer: £25 posted £20 collected from my flat in Edinburgh . . . That's as low as I'm going to go. A total bargain! If I don't have any takers it's off to the ebay but thought I would give BC a chance first . . . cheers, kelso
10. Diggin' the stripes man! Welcome to basschat!
11. This is my 75' P-Bass (100% original apart from the ash trays). Still don't have her yet but recently found out she has made it through customs so all is well. Should get her next week. Can't wait! She was an olympic white but has faded to a funky yellow colour - loves it!
12. Project C bought my Fender Bassman TV 15 and was a pleasure to deal with. He payed promptly and communicated well. I'd highly recommend him to any of you guys. Cheers, Kelso
