Some video & photos from this week's mini-tour...

Looks amazing - well done sir! -
Just bought Si's Fuzzrocious Dark Driving - the quickest deal ever known to Basschat - despite being very quick, it was thoroughly satisfying! All good!

Quite a lot of the community knock these, and yes I can understand why. I'm fortunate to be the present keeper of lots of different basses, among them I do have a '68 P Bass, a '92 Jazz V, a '95 Jazz American Standard and I also have a 2011 Roadworn Jazz. The Roadworn, in my opinion, plays (and sounds) better than the '95 USA standard hands down, the neck, the action, it's amazingly lightweight - it's all good!

Sold Mike a MXR DI+, a really nice guy to deal with, very easy going and understanding - wouldn't hesitate to deal with again. All the best, Pete

Sold charic a Boss LS2 - a very easy transaction and a really nice guy to deal with. Enjoy building that pedal board and look forward to seeing pics.

Sold a Submarine to Ryan - a straightforward, easy transaction and a really nice guy. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with again! Very Happy

Among lots of other basses (which has taken a few years to accumulate) I've got a '92 Jazz Plus V - I very rarely play it now but would never consider selling it as it was my first "proper" bass.
Thanks Im still a bit undecided on it at the moment, but I think thats more down to the pedals im using. Its great for giving me switching options, but my original plan of running dirt in parallel with a clean blend didnt really work as well as I thought. I think I need the dirt to be more drastically different to make it worthwhile, as at the moment they both kind of work in the same ball park and the sound doesnt change much at all. Im gonna keep experimenting though!
I thought about one of those but ended up pulling the trigger on a Wounded Paw V3 - likewise it's taken me a good while to get the levels to how I expected, nevertheless, that board looks like a lot of fun! Good work!
So after moving house recently, ive finally got a new project on the go. The new band didnt need a complicated bass, and i need to travel round the centre more, so ive gone back to my pt-jr and given myself plenty of dirty options. Its a lot more simple now but im actually enjoying it a lot more. Apologies for the phone pic.
That looks a very cool board! How do you find the Schism?

Bought a Fuzzrocious Tremorslo from Gaz after a week long loan - an absolute gentleman to deal with! Wouldn't hesitate to deal with again - top bloke!

I tried one - was okay to start with but depends on how many effects you're using/power consumption, it used to produce quite a hum through the signal chain - replaced it with a Diago Powerstation and have been really impressed with it.

So I've been through lots of pedals over the last year or so and here's a selection that I'm not currently using - there's a few here I may not want to part with yet, but feel I should put them out there as trade bait and see what happens. Specifically I'm in two minds about parting with: Iron Ether Oxide - such a great fuzz pedal but my Grey Stache arrived recently and has (for now) replaced it. Earthbound Audio SuperCollider - another great fuzz/overdrive pedal which the IE Oxide replaced. Electronix Submarine - a great preamp and much used by myself until the Hematoma came along. Alongside each description is what I'd consider a fair trade valuation - if any one has any concern over my pricing then I'd appreciate, if you feel inclined to do so, that you address any such concern via pm - thanks in anticipation! Ideally I'd like to trade some of these for a lightweight amp head as a back up to my MarkBass F1, maybe a second MarkBass or a Genz Benz or similar - I'm not averse to adding some cash for something that takes my fancy either, so in no particular order and without further ado, here's what's on offer: Electronix Submarine - good used condition (no box) £SOLD Xotic X-Blender - as new condition (boxed etc) £100 Withdrawn - Iron Ether Oxide - too good to let go ... yet! HBE Hematoma - as new condition (no box) £100 Earthbound Audio SuperCollider - good used condition (no box) £SOLD Catalinbread SFT - good used condition (boxed) £SOLD Smallsound Bigsound Team Awesome Fuzz Machine - good used condition (no box) £Sold That's all folks, I'm really busy during the day and generally can only make it on here during the evenings so please be patient with me! PM's will be answered on a first come first served basis, thanks for looking! Pete
No expression or wah though. Any particular reason why not? For me, a wah is probably the first thing I'd buy if I had to sort a new pedal rig! Truckstop
I have the wah on the floor - takes up too much valuable board space otherwise! Well spotted though.
Remember that price has little bearing on personal preference. I've played £200 basses that to my ears and hands play better than £2000 basses I've played. that's why your own personal preference is more important than anyone else's. If you feel more comfortable on the Squier then play the Squier.
Well said, I'd second this, I think playability is much more important than what's written on the headstock.
Thanks for all advise , going to London in a few weeks will go to Denmark street have a look around
Hmm, Denmark Street - now there's a whole new can of gossip fodder! Devon to Denmark Street is a bl00dy long way to travel for what, in my humble opinion of course, is an overpriced load of tat! Each to their own of course but I wouldn't bother. There's been loads of discussion about DS - I'd search the forums first. Back to the main thread, I love my Squier and it's been a regular gig bass of mine - I always take it to the "rougher" places we play!

+1 for the Akai Unibass and the Animato. I've also got a bit of gas for the Strymon El Capistan and an Eventide Space - not particularly rare but fairly expensive to try on a whim.
cracking board Pete

That board is a thing of beauty. Well played sir.
Cheers Guys! It's taken a while - have to next decide what will make way for the Prescription Electronics Depth Charge which is on it's way in - could be the Russian (which I do love) off the board for a while? Also Gaz, I've bitten the bullet and ordered a custom Oh See Demon from Ry, should be with me just in time for Christmas (I hope).
Hey! you have some real nice gear.. but what's the story with the Octave pedals on your boards? You have the 'Octamiser' and the 'Octave Deluxe'.. if you had to chose one over the other, which one and why?? thanks & god bless.
That's a really tough call to make, I really like the MXR - this replaced an old EHX Octave Multiplexer I had used for a while, the MXR tracks really well and I like the simplicity of the controls - the mid boost is always engaged - the definition/clarity of the effect sounds quite organic (for want of a better word). I had wanted to try the Aguilar for ages and when one came up in the classifieds I snapped it up - I think it's slightly easier to achieve a mix between your clean signal and the effected signal and would say the resultant effected signal does sound better - the only down side I've had with the Aguilar is sometimes (and for no obvious reason) it doesn't want to track terribly well? I really like both of the pedals, both have their quirks but if I had to make a decision I'd say the MXR would be my go to pedal.

Been ages since I did this so here you go, my regular pedal board: and my larger board when space permits:
