Hi Liam, Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you're gonna be busy! Enjoy! Pete

I did a service and repairs on a friends car just before he was taking it on holiday (around about £350 worth of work IIRC), he asked if he could pay me at the end of the month as he was skint - as he was a mate I said yeah, no problem. Fast forward 12 months and lots of me asking for the money (he was always skint apparently), I decided to pay him a visit to "collect my debt" - he was still skint so I said I'd take goods to the value of....he pleaded not to take the TV & Video and offered me a Black Vox, some leads and a Peavey TNT150! I said he could have it back when he paid me my money - the bass spent another 12 months in it's case under the bed! Never got my money from him (not sure where he is now?). I then decided to have a bash at learning to play it and haven't looked back since.
Got myself a TAFM today
I'd be keen to hear what you think of it when you've had a chance to play with it - have been quite keen on one of these for my board!

Hey Shep, Yeah I e-mailed them on Tuesday (via a "contact us" link from their website) asking for confirmation of the order - I haven't received a response to that either Just a bit concerning after shelling out the dough and no communication on their part - having searched google I can't find any other contact details for them and they don't appear on Toronto's list of businesses either (ok, i'm not surprised by that as I think they're fairly low key). I'm hoping they may be away for the Easter holidays - even so I'd have expected an automated response to the order? I checked today and funds have been taken from my bank account. Edited spelling!
Can`t remember his name, but the singer from Magnum. Used to do this really rubbish "hand-dancing" thing.
+1 to that! IIRC I saw them at a Monsters of Rock festival once - either that or they were on the bill at another venue? I'd forgotten about that thing he did!

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone out there in Basschat land has had direct dealings with Wounded Paw Effects? I ordered a Blender V3 pedal from them on Sunday (1st April and paid with Paypal), I would have expected an e-mail confirming the order/what status it's at and anticipated dispatch date - as yet I've received no communication from them at all? Having paid my $245.00 do you think I'm over-reacting by thinking the worst - I've logged into my account and it just states "processing"? In fairness to them it does state on the website the item may take 1-2 weeks for delivery - I guess I'm just a bit concerned I've heard nothing from them. So hence the question, has anyone out there had dealings with them? How long did it take for the goods to arrive? Did they communicate well? Etc Etc... I guess if things turn pearshaped and could contact Paypal and take it up with them? Cheers in anticipation for your feedback/comments. Pete

School boy errors at gigs - my worst was last night
Thor replied to Cat Burrito's topic in General Discussion
I've forgotten my bass before now. The worst one was probably the time I forgot we even had a gig - my mobile rang just as our food arrived...
I recall a Saturday evening when I was led on the sofa watching World Cup football when I got a phone call from my drummer - we were supposed to be gigging and I'd completely forgotten about it! Had to haul ass to get there on time! Another gig (not me this time), we'd driven to the venue (about 85 miles away from home) and the drummer sheepishly admitted he'd left his snare at home! Thankfully, one of the bar staff played and agreed to loan him his. -
Just received a Darkglass B3K from Jose, very easy transaction and a pleasure to do business with, arrived quickly too! Cheers again Jose! Pete
Shep uses gigrig stuff which is the best 1 stop shop for power supply needs and is made very well. http://www.diago.co....werstation.html Diago proves that the voodoo stuff is vastly overpriced what it is and does. 3000mA is a lot of pedals. At the same time diago actual pedal boards are expensive, compared to pedal trains. If you want an easy solution and only have standard 9v pedals to power then you are set to go with a powerstation.
I can fully understand the need for Shep to choose the Gigrig set up - with his EPIC set-up it's needed. But for the average pedalboard I see no reason for anything else but a Diago - perhaps as Janmaat eluded to earlier in the thread - everyone says Diago - probably because they're the best all rounder and reasonably priced. I agree, their boards do seem expensive for what they are? I'd sooner stick with the Pedaltrain.
Can someone hint me out what justifies these huge price differences, and if they make any sense?
In a word - no! Before I bought the Diago I'd seriously considered a T-Rex Fuel Tank (and previous to that the Voodoo Labs range), however I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on a power supply!? Having looked at all options - I'd even considered the Gigrig generator and Gigrig distributors (which do make for a nice tidy set-up and also give an element of supply headroom and allow for future growth), I decided to speak to James at Diago to discuss whether he thought the PS-01 would cope with what I wanted to achieve - he agreed it would and at around half the price of the other options it seemed a total no-brainer to me. The PS-01 I have is velcro'd to the underside of my Pedaltrain 2, out of site and not taking up any of the valuable space on top, the supply cable runs have been cable tied around the board in mini looms - it's a tidy and reliable set-up IMO.
I once dated a Redhead. Lovely.
LMAO - I dated a redhead once or twice, and jolly nice she was too, Gymnast as I recall. Forgotten about that...just off for a shower!
-
FWIW I think the Diago Powerstation is excellent quality/value for money - I was getting a fair bit of hum etc from the previous power supply but the Diago is whisper quiet and currently powering 14 pedals without any worries.

You're right there Mark, but I tend to leave my leads plugged into the Thumpinator and out of the LS2 all of the time - just coil em up (tidily) along with the power supply cable and pop it into the PT2 bag - job done!

Very tidy work & very cool Al (as usual)!
My guess is that goes via guitar cable straight to amp?
You are correct Sir! Just wasn't plugged in as I'd just finished plumbing it.

I was thinking EPIC! I certainly wouldn't want to carry it far at the end of the night!

I'm not sure I'd refer to it as smooth but the Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B has a wet blend function that I find really useful.

I'll make space! Sounds good via the laptop speakers - am sure it'd be much better in the flesh.
