1. Cheers Higgie, any ideas how much the Loop Logic is? I couldn't see the price on the website anywhere?
2. Hi All, I'm just trying to get my head round the fundamental difference between these two pedals and wondered if someone out there could explain? Whether they'd be suitable for what I'm trying to achieve? Or whether there may be something else more suitable that perhaps I've missed? http://www.sfxsound....age=custom_shop http://www.sfxsound....age.asp?page=sm Essentially I'm wanting to split my signal chain into 2 loops and then be able to either run my signal dry, dry+loop 1 (most likely a modulation type loop), dry+loop 2 (a dirty loop) and I'd also like to be able to blend/mix loop 1+2 together? I think the Split & Mix may be the answer for what I'm trying to achieve, and at a reasonable price, but thought I'd ask for advice as I'm still a relative noob to effects. It's a shame there's no "published price" for the loop logic - unless I missed that on the website? I had also looked at a Boss LS2, but don't think that has the blend capability? I'd appreciate any advice/feedback from you seasoned guys/gals and what/how it best to achieve my goal. I hope this makes sense. Pete
3. Just sold an EHX Octave Multiplexer to Serghei - great communications, really quick payment and a really nice guy to deal with! Would recommend without hesitation!
4. Here's my new (2004) friend - I had a 4001 a few years back which sounded typically clanky - I cannot believe how much bottom end this has! Love it!
5. Agent 00Funk now on hold, pending the usual. Brown Dog still available!
6.
My board as at today. Think a POG2 is on the cards next.
Looks a nice neat board, what do you think to the Headrush?
7. I really loved the sound I got from my Trace Elliot AH350SMX with a pair of Peavey 4X10 TX's - sounded truly immense at any venue I'd played, that said with four buggered discs in my lower back, I simply had no choice (other than aquire a roadie) than to part company with it. I still see and hear it fairly regularly as I sold it to a mate of mine - he has no comprehension of what he's got and despite me helping him set up the EQ etc on a few occasions - he has the memory span of a newt - it always sounds sh1t. I so want to change the smiley face of the graphic back to the slightly sad face I had it set up to, but hey, it's his rig now so... Anyhow, my lightweight MarkBass gear is very pleasing to my ears (and my back), so definitely a keeper!
8. I'm in the market for the regular sized Gramma so perhaps if I bought yours it would at least go someway to helping both of us out - whereabouts in NE Hampshire are you? PM me if you'd prefer not to discuss on this thread.
9. 160 views and counting. Still no comments for quality pedals!?
10. I can only echo the comments above - have an extender fitted to two of my basses and haven't had any problems with either of them - the only thing I would say is I do lube mine periodically.
11. I think it fair to say you get what you pay for. I bought my daughter an electro acoustic (6 string) guitar last christmas, she'd been playing for around 6 months so a relative newbie, however, whilst the quality of finish isn't great, it actually plays (action etc) really nicely for a budget guitar.
12. So forgive my ignorance, I did have a look at the Auralex website, I have a MB 151P Traveler cab which has a slightly bigger footprint than the standard Gramma, I don't suppose that would be too much of a problem would it - the slight overhang? I don't want to go to the next size up as some of the venues we play are a bit tight for space.
13. Been thinking of buying one of these for a while now - are they really worth having? I've not heard anything bad about them, just a bit cynical I suppose?
14. No love for Chunk? 97 views and no comments - I believe the price is fair, although I'm open to any feedback - thoughts?
15.
Wren and Cuff Phat Phuk B. It's the only real overdrive I've found, everything else is mostly just blendable distortion or fuzz. It's basically a boost with a germanium circuit that drives your amp as well as giving some drive of its own. Very awesome pedal.
+1 to that, also the Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B with the blend control is definitely worth looking at.
16.
You can connect a momentary foot switch to the Deep Impact to scroll through the presets in he opposite direction. I would recommend the Loop Master Mini Tap Tempo for this as its tiny. I used to use one when I had a Deep Impact and it worked really well.

Tidy looking board! You can attach a second footswitch to toggle settings down. Make sure its not latching though.. otherwise you need to double tap (learned from when I used the guv'nor to do it!) Dont think you can attach an Exp out. Welcome to the Deep Impact club!
Cheers Guys, the momentary footswitch sounds like a must! Looking forward to getting to know the DI a bit better, but initial impressions are really pleasing.
17.
Diago's are the business - best power supply out there I reckon. Really interested to hear what you make of the Deep Impact - I have been toying with the idea of getting one for ages. Did you get it off Ebay? I put and LS2 on the board a while ago and it is great, really useful for blending clean signal to effects or switching multiple ones on and off. SFX make a very nice version called Loop Logic and it is easier to turn the loops on an off but does not have a mode option on it. Did you keep the Agent 00 Funk?
Hi Mark, Hope you're well, Diago seems a really good buy at a very reasonable price - extremely pleased with it at the moment. I've just posted the Agent 00Funk in the for sale section - am asking what I paid for it - whilst I really like it (and the Brown Dog) I've just purchased the Deep Impact from a fellow Basschatter (Mace) so think they may well be redundant - I'll let you know how I get on with it but first impressions are really much more than I expected! It really is (and I hate using this word) Awesome - really versatile - goes from subtle to mayhem and everything in between without any effort - will be trying to program a few sounds that I'm after when I get used to it. Regarding the LS2/SFX Loop Logic - I'll have to do a bit more research to try and get a handle on what it is I want exactly - all a bit confusing at the moment! I'm thinking I'd like to have a loop that will turn on my octave pedal along with the chorus for certain songs/effects by stomping on just one switch rather than doing a Riverdance - is that even possible (forgive my ignorance!) Pete
18. Hi Guys, I'm looking at either selling this or trading for one of the following: Wounded Paw Black Sheep/Battering Ram plus cash your way? Aguilar Agro/Octamizer Malekko Barker Assmaster plus a bit of cash? [s]Wounded Paw Blender V3 (plus cash your way - long shot I know!) [/s] Sorted! [s]SFX Loop Logic (plus cash your way- another long shot me thinks!)[/s] [s]or possibly an analogue delay of some sort[/s] (so figured I'd put it out there and gauge the reaction)! This is from Fender's Classics Series and is a VERY impressive Bass Fuzz Pedal, I have gigged it regularly over the last 2-3 years and there's a couple of small places where the paint has chipped off the body of the pedal, this of course in no way detracts from the performance and operation of the pedal. The pedal has a couple of adjustable pots on the bottom as well as input and output pots either side of the body, but also has a top mounted, colour changing rotary fuzz intensity control which can be adjusted by foot during performance. This really is a versatile pedal which goes from very mild fuzz/volume boost to crazy intense sounding fuzz reminiscent of that Hysteria tone. It's powered by either a single 9V battery or the usual 9V centre negative power supply. Anyway - here's a couple of pics to whet your appetite - as you can see I have the original box/candy: The pedal has velcro on the bottom as it's lived on my board since new - for sale at [s]£100[/s] [s]£90 [/s]£85 ovno to include mainland UK Postage - it is a big bugger!
19. Hi Guys, Further to my earlier post here's an Electro-Harmonix Octave Multiplexer for sale - does exactly what is says on the tin - it does track really well and has the Sub function (which my ears really like). New price is around £53 plus shipping, looking for £30 plus shipping. Here's a pic: Cheers, Pete
20. Hi Guys, So the Agent 00Funk Mark II is now on hold pending payment but the Brown Dog is still available - this gated Fuzz pedal really is a nice quality pedal and should it not sell, I'll be happy to hang onto it as I do like a nice bit of Fuzz , the only reason I'm selling is I have an SFX Micro Fuzz & Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie on my board already, so this is surplus really - although the gated fuzz is really useful!? (Dilemma). I'd say the Brown Dog is in 8/10 condition,& has velcro on the bottom of it. Pricewise I'm looking for £150 each for these. (They are currently retailing at £225 each and also supply in the UK is somewhat limited to say the least!). Anyway, without further a do, here's some pics: Both pedals are in full working order and can be powered by battery or the standard 9V centre negative type power supply, I'm sure you're probably aware how these sound but here's a link: I'm happy to sell these separately, am based in Marlborough, Wiltshire, so can rendevous with anyone locally to save on postage if it helps. Any questions, please ask. Cheers, Pete
21. So here's my board to date, I reckon this is how it's likely going to stay for a while but am now thinking of getting an LS2 or similar (any recommendations/suggestions/feedback from you guys would be appreciated), once I'm definitely happy with it I'm planning on replacing the existing patch leads with George L's and then tidying the underside cabling of the board - I'll probably move the Diago Powerstation back underneath as well - actually that's a point worth mentioning - I previously had (no laughing at the back!) a Soundlab Power Supply and whilst it coped with powering my pedals it was horrifically noisey even at rest!? - the Diago seems infinitely better so am well pleased with that. So the latest addition being the Deep Impact, am I right in thinking you can add an expression pedal to this? Or a footswitch to toggle the sounds? Again, any feedback would be gratefully received. Cheers, Pete
