1. Steady on chaps - I'll be blushing soon! Top men both of you, cheers Rich & Jamie
 2. Pm on it's way re: Muff
 3. That's a crime! Unplayed?? Would LOVE it, such a cool bass. (Thinks: what to sell??)
 4. Oh boy, that really is a thing of beauty! I really REALLY fancy one of these!
 5.
The dude that runs Electric Ladyland in Bristol seems to be totally uninterested in getting your money. Don't think he fibs, but he might just not want to sell you stuff when he could be telling you the stuff you want is overrated rubbish and he has 50 of them out back instead.
I can relate to that - he's certainly a character, lord knows how he makes a living?
 6.
Right chaps (and ladies of course), I've bumped this back to the top, am keen to offload the rig as a whole or just the cabs (am thinking I may keep the amp as a spare), any sensible offers of cash or trade will be considered. I just had this finish on Fleabay last night and it failed to meet the (what i thought was a very reasonable) reserve price. Would be particularly keen to trade for another bass, perhaps a MIM jazz/Warwick bolt on/ (Semi) Acoustic bass plus cash adjustment either way. WHY?? Cheers, Pete.
Shameless BUMP! Gigged New Mark Bass Rig on saturday - awesome sound from such a lightweight rig - really pleased!
There might have to be a pick guard swap to break up the sea of unrelenting black, maybe black/grey pearloid, or as it is more affectionately known, Mother Of Toilet Seat Although any replacement would have to modded for the slightly different shaped pickup. These off shore models do play and sound amazing, I'd go as far as to say that this is better than my old 3 band US Ray, the neck certainly is.
I like it, I have a '70's black P bass & BWB pickguard - lovely. Well done, very tasty.

 9.
Yeah sure, Well if it is a fairly simple problem like that, and you or your friend could deal with it without too much trouble then I would be very interested. Thanks, Edd
Cheers Edd, I'll keep you posted. Regards, Pete.
 10. I've got a '92 Jazz Bass Plus V, lovely neck and action - that's a very reasonable price too! Bump
 11.
Hi, That is just the kind of bass I would be interested in, however I would rather not have to pay to have some work done on it e.g the active circuit, as it would be something I don't know how to do myself. Although if it were just a very simple soldering job or something like that, It wouldn't be too much a problem. Cheers, Edd
Like I say I received this as part of a trade yesterday, on closer inspection there's a blue wire that has become detached from what i can only think must be the battery compartment - looks like it needs soldering back on - I'm fairly handy with soldering iron but am a wee bit uncertain as to where exactly it goes (having never seen one of these in the flesh before). I'll try and do some research, one of my mate's is a luthier/guitar tech for a well known blues guitarist so perhaps I'll run it by him (if he's got time!) All the best, Pete
 12.
The Sex Pistols. "The great rock and roll swindle" The low slung precision, lack of technical prowess, but plenty of swagger. The idea that it only took a rudimentary ability to be able play in a band.
I can relate to that too! Should've mentioned John Paul Jones earlier too, the lemon song was one that I practised over and over - drove the parents nuts
 13.
Les Nemes of Haircut 100 played some great stuff , Mick (spider fingers !) Karn , Avant Gard Fretless at its best, Sting , great feel , does what the song needs, no more no less. Bruce foxton , so underrated and underpaid by the Modfather (allegedly !!) Peter Hook New Order , definitely had his own style. Lets not forget the great synth basslines created too , Human League , vince Clark Depeche mode , Gary Numan , Don't laugh !! frankie goes to hollywood - Trevor Horn's amazing production, New order . Thomas dolby, Could go on all day here but these are the ones that stick out for me ,
Couldn't agree more! That's my kind of era too, although when looking for inspiration/to push my learning/technique, I always looked to the Ox! Awesome talent/technique for me - made playing seem effortless and natural. Such a shame he's gone.
 14. Just a feeler, how'd you fancy a headless Hohner B2? I've just received as part of a trade, it works passively via XLR, seems active circuitry may need some attention? Just a thought. Cheers, Pete
Up for trade is my Ibanez EWB10ASEOBK 1201 Electro-Acoustic Bass. I am interested in a Musicman SUB, Warwick Corvette Standard and Headless basses particularly but I'm aware I might need to add some cash for any of these. I'm open to other offers as well. The bass is in good condition, with some minor nicks in the back of the neck. I have taken some photos amd can try and take some more detailed ones if required but my camera isn't the best. 17.
You musta been an awesome player if you could find your way around that! Absolutely gorgeous, I'd need lines unfortunately.
+1
 18. pics would be good
 19. Got to move fast round these here parts - now traded to tombboy.
 20.
would you sell the SM57 seperatly?
tbh I've now listed most of my gear on Ebay, this is the item number 120516837586, there are currently 17 people watching it although no bids as yet, I don't like removing a listing once it's been listed, however if you want to PM me with an offer I'd consider doing so.
 21.
hi, have you got pics of everything included with the lights, and a price? cheers, Pete.
Hi Pete, My other set of lights are in storage with bass bins, If you're interested then I could probably get pics within the next day or two, but just so you're aware exactly what's included: Two alloy tripod stands (similar to speaker stands) One lighting rig (with the 4 round PAR56 type lamps) attached to a crossbar or T bar (as per photo) One lighting rig (with 4 square/box type lamps) attached to a crossbar/T bar The necessary lighting control leads/harnesses (2 of) The Ryger AX4 Lighting Controller/Chaser The necessary gels/gel holders for all lamps If you're interested I reckon a more than fair price for the lot would be £200 ono, so let me know ASAP, as I shall more than likely be thinking of listing on Fleabay this week (or gumtree). Thanks for the interest, Cheers, Pete
 22. Quite a few pm's and a fair amount of interest generated but still up for grabs at the moment! BUMP!
 23. QUOTE (BigAlonBass @ Jan 8 2010, 03:54 PM) Unfortunately it was just the location that did it. If you'd been any closer, I would have bitten your hand off. All the bargains seem to be "Dahn Sarf" at the moment. Well we could always negotiate a delivery arrangement - I'd be quite happy with £20 of fuel, a bacon buttie (or two) and a cup of coffee! What do you say to that?? Have you got the kettle on yet, also I prefer tomato sauce & brown bread....BUMP
 24.
If you do, let us know how it sounds after you´ve given it a proper going over. Very keen to see what people think of it, been contemplating this one since I saw the youtube upload.
Well i took another trip down the shop and parted with the necessary funds - had a little play with it this afternoon before gigging this evening, I tried to sneak it out on the floor without any of the other boys noticing - no chance of that! It is about the size of a wah pedal and when stomped on it sounds great - you could even say sublime! Early days yet but the other two guitarists definitely were in favour of the sound this generates - as well as creating the fuzz type sound it also increases the volume somewhat as well, I do like the rotary control on top (very easy to use and the whole colour change gives an idea of how intense the fuzz is going to be), it is possible to get some nice hint of distortion/fuzz (very subtle) but also it is possible to get this thing feeding back when you get really excited. I like the input gain and output gain controls being recessed on the sides of the pedal - avoids any accidental changes of settings, havent read the manual yet to see what the underside settings are for - also if holding a chord for a reasonable length of time the pedal acts like a phaser (the chord starts that whole cycling type thing and it is possible for the sound to grow and grow) As said it's very early days for a critical review because I still have a bit of the new toy syndrome about me!
