1. As far as I'm concerned I've expressed how I'm feeling and don't wish to comment any further as I don't see any benefit to either party.
 2.
The fella doesn't know the forum rules, he now does.
Ignorance doesn't carry any weight I'm afraid....one should be aware of the rules before posting! With regards his pricing see my previous post! As previously posted by others, no one is going to "get rich quick" by buying this at the sellers agreed price and subsequently offering it for sale? As I stated before, I don't wish to slight anyone, however, after offering the asking price I was then e-mailed (privately) asking if I'd like to increase my offer! That is what I object to!

 4.
In fact it is! Though I agree with your sentiments and everyone would probably want to help this guy out, you may as well say that the rule re. pricing be ditched and we invite highest offers. However, the powers-that-be have made a ruling that a price be set and you aren't to offer higher bids above that (that'll be ebay's job). As has been pointed out, it'll not go for a whole heap more than has been offered (though I'd not sell mine so cheaply) and in fact folks might get a bit miffed at bidding to get the item (hence the ruling that we state prices and stick to them) and they may even withdraw interest. I'm not having a dig at the seller, I feel sorry for anyone who has fallen on hard times.
+1 A while back I was in precisely the same situation, I had to raise some cash (and quickly too) so ended up selling my Streamer Stage 1 and also my beloved '68 Fender P - a truly gut wrenching experience at the time and one I'd certainly not want to experience again. The point of this post was to say that I had made my mind up about price of the two basses to be sold and stuck with it - I'm sure I could have held out for more, but as I said I needed the cash to satisfy the mortgage lender - without rules where would we be? The P Bass has been since replaced with another '68 although not quite as nice as the last one and I was hoping the this would have replaced the Streamer (I'd offered the full asking price) but obviously this was not to be. This is not meant as a slight to anyone at all - just venting that's all!
 5. Is the B:Assmaster a silicon or germanium version? Any pics?
 6. Just received a Love Squeeze of the Rothwell kind from Alan, all safely packaged and tracked! Exactly as described, an easy guy to deal with! Cheers Al, Pete
 7. Bummer to hear this bud, have a bump on me.
 8. I'm no expert on such things, this looks very nice but a tad iffy to me? Thoughts? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1972-USA-Fender-JAZZ-Bass-BLACK-hardly-played-Original-Case-/280864471524?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4164d3b9e4#ht_500wt_1413 It's being sold as original 70's but appears to have a Badass fitted and certainly different pickups to mine? I also thought the serial number on 70's was on the front of the headstock? Mine's a later '78 and that does?
 9.
Had to look twice at the price, , heres my MUF
Nice Muff there dude! And your avatar caught my eye too!

 11. Nice one Shep! Just had a read through - really useful - I wasn't aware of loop inverters, sounds cool!
 12.
I'd love to try a Ric but they seem like a hard bass to live with with their quirks. They do have a unique sound that I like but they seem like a rich mans instrument.
I aint rich - ask my Bank Manager!
 13. I'm really gassing for an Oly White one of these! Must resist - at least until month end... Sunburst sure looks sweet though!
 14.
Play with one of these fitted - it'll take your mind off the wrist pain. 15. Just received a PT Nano from Nick, a pleasure to deal with!
 16.
Both mine have beautiful fat, full and sweet clean tones, no distortion needed (a little USA valvey warmth doesn't do any harm though)
Amen to that! My old 70's 4001 was (at the time) a dream bass for me to own - truth be told I hated the thing so much soon after getting it, it didn't matter what I tried (strings/setup/EQ adjustments) it just sounded horribly clanky and seemed like it was only capable of one sound!? I just had to get rid of it - it took a while for me "to get over it" but 10 or so years later I thought I'd try a 4003 as I was gassing for one for ages, I love the 4003 - completely different to the earlier bass I had - really warm and fat sounding but can still reproduce the typical clanky Ric sound if needed. It's a much better all rounder than my 4001 ever was.
 17.
I wrote some buddy , not all of them to be sure , that you didn t misunderstood
No worries - I haven't played them all, so can only comment from my own experience.
 18.
some Rics had not much sustain
Not in my experience.
 19. I was really surprised when I bought my 4003 (around December last year), I was expecting it to sound quite "clanky", rather like the late 70's 4001 I had for a while a few years ago, which sounded typically like that - in fact that was the main reason I got rid of it - although it was quite trebly, I found it was getting lost in the mix when playing live (I was using a TE AH350SMX and 2 4X10 cabs). The 4003 sounds absolutely HUGE - I was amazed how much bottom end it has whilst still retaining some nice mids/highs - I'd previously been using my Geddy Lee Jazz and had to roll a substantial amount of lows off the EQ on my Markbass F1. I have to say the 4003 definitely has no trouble with the live mix in my current band - I'm really hooked by it! Horses for Courses and all that...
