1. I've still got this. C'mon, surely somebody must want a read. It's bloody funny and well worth the £0.00 it'll cost you!
2. It's Camac, apparently
3. His advert is very hard to read. I wish he'd made the text a bit bigger.
4. Loads of stuff on random play. Currently playing Rascal Flatts' "Life Is A Highway".
5. Blimey. Seven posts into this thread and nobody has yet said "political correctness" or tried to blame it on Gordon Brown. This must be some sort of record.
6. The SM900 is a great amp, I had one and loved it, BUT it weighs over twice as much as your 400...
7.
There's a Youtube clip of a live version of Dylan's "It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry". There's a ton of high profile performers on stage, like Clapton, Tom Petty etc. About half way down the comments there's this: "Why do they let that idiot sing? There's ten people on the stage could sing it better than that." Next comment "That's Bob Dylan". "Oh sorry, didn't recognise him. I'm only 12." (actually he said, I'm only young.)
This is comedy gold. Love it.
8. Fairly standard Fender-esque bent bit of tin. In unused condition, no rust or tarnishing of any sort. Now £3.50 posted. [s]EMG Select SEHB pickup, c/w mounting ring. Has seen a fair bit of action, but works. Very short wires, as per pic. Shouldn't be a problem though. Details here. SOLD[/s] [s]Set of tuners, c/w bushes. Currently assembled as 2-a-side but can be reassembled as 4-in-line. Nice operation with no slack. ½"/13mm posts. Will be dismantled for postage. SOLD[/s]
9.
One thing I'd learned early was never piss off the sound guy.
This is the Golden Truth.
10. This is a big, bbbbig favourite of mine.
11. SD Curlee, blimey there's a name from the past alright. I remember trying one once, it had two P pups if I remember correctly and was Stanley-Clarke-Alembic in shape. Crap balance but sounded pretty brutal. EDIT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S._D._Curlee
12. LOVE that drum track, one of my favourites. So simple, yet perfect.

Acoustic Bass

Stuart, I'm going to shift this to the Bass Guitars section as it's a pretty specific question.
14. The best ABG I have ever played by a mile was the Washburn AB34. Great upper fret access, lovely fast neck, really comfortable. Discontinued. Damn.
15. 260 quid or so, apparently. Headstock spoils it for me.
16. Enough already. This is well past silly.
17.
None... isn't the whole point of having a small Class D amp is that it's small, light and easy to carry around in a tiny gig bag? Why would you rack it?

To protect it, put it in a box with other useful gear (tuner, comp etc). The real point to me is they are very lightweight.
Yup, this is precisely why my Shuttle head is rackmounted. Permanently connected to the wireless, mains distribution, etc. And the advantage is that the whole rack is now only marginally heavier than the empty case was! Now... would everyone like to chill out a bit please? :-)
18. And they cause impotence in hamsters. I like to colour-code the LEDs, e.g. I put a green LED in a green Bad Monkey pedal and a blue LED in my blue Boss bass chorus. EDIT. Speaking of Boss pedals, why do they use such pathetic little LEDs? Those red 3mm things can be almost impossible to see on a brightly lit stage. I fitted a 5mm one instead, impossible to miss!
19. Hmm, I thought the balance was OK. I was particularly pleased that Nigel Planer used the 'ner-wobbum' pronunciation. I was astounded when it said that Saxon are still touring. I sincerely hope that Biff Byford sounds better than he looks.
20. I'm not generally all that wild about Bics, but I'd definitely give that one house space! Nice.
21.
HAHA I think I might well buy one of these - http://www.thomann.de/gb/fullers_unilock.htm
Brilliant! Oh bugger.
22. 15 watts? You were lucky. I played a 7 hour gig with a 1.5 watt fag-packet amp once. Try telling the young folk today that, and they won't believe you.
