Best ELO album? For me probably Elderado although love On the third day, went rubbish after Out of the blue, still have the ELO story signed by Bev Bevan!
we've had passive and powered subs in the past, we don't bother anymore as 99% of our gigs are pubs and 2 tops are fine for vocals. Our backline is more than loud and (hopefully) balanced - ampeg SVT and 410 and marshall 100w and 412, the drummer does go through his own 500w PA to balance out the drums. Subs are great if its not you carrying them to and from your van every gig and when you get home!
Im in the market for a semi acoustic, buget £200

pretty as anything
then I saw this on Thomman

Theres some nice woods in that, and knowing what amazing value HB's are, I was wondering if this might be a bit of a unknown gem and be a real bargain?
any thoughts?

man thats sooo serious!
small brown and smelly...
Dont sweat it. You're the bass player, you're not supposed to sing otherwise you'd end up sounding like Geddy, Lemmy, Sting or even Mark King so relax!
Getting paid to make people happy? Whats not to like?
Sometimes I want to kill the guitard (especially when Im lugging/storing his gear)
but when the punters are cheering for more and I look over at him and the drummer and we all have daft grins on our boats, well, that makes it all worthwhile.
", but if you are not sure which type to go for and why, then you have to start with a four stringed bass git."

status flats are good value, around £20 I think. Use them on my P but have rounds on the jazz which I prefer when gigging as the zing cuts through better.
