its not the gear thats the problem, it's loosing the paper / e trail that new aquisitions leave behind, that's how i always get caught.

so far..the svt head, ampeg 410 and fender P (well ok, squire JV), for rock rather than trad jazz.

IMO you cannot ever replicate an all tube head, however the PF-800 will give you the ampeg sound. As for too loud, is such a thing possible? Simply turn it down!

never needed a spare (yet!), never broken a string either, but could blag through the song on different string surely? More worried about amp failure so a good DI pedal more important IMO
