  1. eBay or Ali Express is probably your friend here. If you are prepared to wait a couple of weeks for delivery.
  2. I've had a couple of questions about the ACG SEQ pre-amp. It's effectively the same as the EQ01. There are 2 Low-Pass Filter stacks where on the EQ01 the lower knob sets the frequency, and the upper, the filter over-shoot peak level. With the SEQ the upper knob is moved to the individual pcbs in the control cavity. There is a High-Pass Filter Stack, whose lower knob sets the frequency, and upper knob setting the Level for the higher frequencies. A stacked Master Volume/Blend sets the output level and pickups mix. I've also been asked if I would be prepared to ship the bass. No problem at all but I would prefer to use a "man and van" for something that would cost £3k to replace. I am open to offers but please, only sensible ones. 😉
  3. Saw Ida Neilson and the Funkbots last Friday. Cracking gig and lovely to talk to.
  4. Real Electronics are the UK authorized repair agents for TC Electronic. Maybe a call to them.
  5. The worst imho, booking service is Dice, which appears to be gathering traction for small to medium sized venues. Booked to see John Cooper Clarke at the newly reopened CIS in Manchester. You can't get your tickets/QR code until 2hrs before the doors open. You have to "activate" the tickets at the 2hr point and then the QR code appears. I tried to find a way of printing them beforehand, but no joy. Had to activate on a Metro tram on the way into town. There is a slight upside to this process in that you can email the tickets to someone for them to use before they are activated.
  6. Looks like the stamp on the back of the volume pot is A250, so is a log pot.
  7. John bought two sets of strings from me. No fuss, no drama, perfect transaction. Deal with confidence.
  8. Updated picture to show what is left. Unfortunately I can't change the price field.
  9. So it's an Ashdown MiBass 550. Class D output section and those 2 output speakons should be connected together in parallel. A quick call to Ashdown will confirm. If so ONE cable to your 4ohm cab is all that is required. Regarding the speaker swap, Mike Walsh used to be the UK distributor for TechAmp, when he had the Bass Merchant. He went on to launch Zoot speaker cabs, the best I've ever owned, and then Purple Chili. He knows his stuff.
  10. Cheers, I'll give it a go.
  11. Mike bought a set of strings off me. No messing, paid instantly. Top man.
  12. Internal length is 115cm or 45" in old money. Let me know if that works and I'll sort out the most economical way of getting it to you.
  13. You and me both. Andy Baxter is the same. Approached both about selling my ACG, no replies at all.
  14. As I have now moved to 32" scale bass, these standard scale sets are now not required. All are new, include postage and i have tried to price them at approx 2/3 of the cheapest price I could find. Happy to talk about discount for bulk. All sets are Nickels. D'Addario EXL 220-5 Superlight 40 - 125 £25 Elites Player Standard V's Nickels - 45-135 £18 Single SIT Rockbright - 125 - £3 Single Elites Player - 130 - £3 Elixir, SIT's, Dunlop's and NYXL Sold.
  15. I think @eudeis correct, but only Alan can confirm. I think it would need the pre-amp changing as well as the pickups. You'd be well on the way to a new build with the costs involved.
  16. It's a standard scale bag and I think it's being collected tonight. I'll update if a no show.
  17. I'll see how compact I can make it. Obviously it was originally posted to me so a distinct possibility.
  18. I've switched from 34" to 32" scale in a big way. Four basses sold, one to go, and replaced with one medium scale. Well one at the moment, probably another to come. With the onset of a bit of arthritis, I tried a medium scale after reading how it made a difference to some other similarly affected players. What a revelation. So much easier and more comfortable to play.
  19. Madarozza is another branch of Ritter and this is their take on a gig bag for 2 basses. OK, it's not a Mono or anything like that but it's well made and it will serve it's purpose to carry a couple of basses and protect them and for a fraction of the price. Plenty of pockets for assorted bits and pieces. and shoulder straps on the rear. I got it to haul a couple of Bass Collections around, but it never happened, so it's been sitting idle for a couple of years.
  20. Brand New Ritter RG7000 Gig Bag. Plenty of padding and looks a bit different to your average bag. Really well made and plenty of room for assorted bass bits and pieces and two comfortable shoulder straps on the rear.
  21. Nice furry lined carry case for an Ashdown Rootmaster Amp. Keeps it nice and warm and cosy as well as protecting it from knocks. Large accessory pocket on the front to carry leads etc. I was a bit overzealous when opening it and put a small nick in the accessory pocket which is so small, I can't photograph it. A bit of gaffer on the back of it and Robert's a relation. It's never been out of the house as I decided to go to an aluminium case.
