  1. Interesting, I've seen that range of their bags before, but not the short-scale (makes sense if it isn't launched yet). The other bags in the range have three feature-based price points, about £25, about £65, and about £95. Which I think are actually spot on! If you have a support ticket open, could you ask when they plan to drop them? If it's a month, great, if it's a year, I'll continue with my little project. Si
  2. I don't think he's saying that you still avidly listen to the same stuff you did as a kid, but that the feelings experienced and chemicals released when you do listen to that older stuff, music that moulded your childhood, is significantly different to what happens when you listen to newer music now. It's less cerebral, more linked to emotional memory etc. And actually, the research seems to support that. That's not to say that there aren't exceptions, but I would struggle to believe that someone who loved a band or artist when they were a teenager, actively dislike that band/artist now.....even if it's a guilty pleasure in the eyes of more snobbish company. Si
  3. That looks to be the standard bass bag, not the short-scale. The short-scale aspect is called out on other listings, not on this one is all. Si
  4. They're discontinued. Si
  5. Not yet, the best I've found is a Reunion Blues RBX Semi-Hollow guitar bag. Perfect length, but seemingly too much space around the body as it's obviously for a larger bodied guitar. Plus it's about £120. I'm currently investigating whether I can get a run of bags made to the dimensions we'd need.....if I do, it will likely be a kickstarter to get going. Cheers Si
  6. Hi Greg, That's a little odd, can you PM me your phone number or email address and I'll have the Tech Support team contact you and sort it out. Cheers Si // Focusrite Media Relations
  7. That’s why I said Loudness and not Volume Of course, a decibel is a decibel, but what each of us is capable of hearing, and what we consider appropriate, is different . Si
  8. ‘Loudness’ is also completely subjective, which should be considered. Si
  9. Seems fair* *it doesn't
  10. There’s a whole story about this bass. The guy pictured with it here sold it to a famous YouTuber (a guitarist), and it was a dead-duck, a pile of poop it seems, so there’s a vid of the guy trashing it lol: So he had this built by someone proper (reveal at about 1:50): Si
  11. Long-shot, but anyone in Herts (Hemel)/Bucks (Wycombe) got a Noble Pre/DI I could try?

Met a fella called David who stores gear for Music companies while bands aren't touring. If bands split, he's left with it. He has a LOT of gear. He's based in High Wycombe, by the council offices IIRC - give him a ring/email.

  12. Doesn't look like Fender on the headstock, although probably a prototype if he's saying that Fender will build it. In fact, looks almost like 'Spellbinder'!? Si
  13. I like some music, I don't like other music. Jazz, same as everything else, falls into both categories depending on the piece of in question. That said, there's plenty to be gained from listening to music you don't 'like', you'll always learn something, even if it's what NOT to do. Si
  14. Shameless plug, if you're interested in recording, we got you covered https://www.ukguitarshow.com/features/guitar-masterclass-with-focusrite Si // Focusrite Media Relations
  15. I mean, who honestly cares? As if PRS are the first to release a Strat copy, and actually they released a Strat at the request of one of their multi-platinum selling artists (bearing in mind he had a PRS style signature before this). If he's happy, and it's a good guitar, then all good. He played all sorts last time I saw him, PRS, PRS Strat, old Fenders, Gretcsh. He's a guitarist who's sold a ton of records, he'll jump at any opportunity to work with cool companies and get free guitars.....who wouldn't! Si
  16. Not quite, latency will increase as you increase sample size, but latency will decrease if you up the sample rate (note different terms here, ‘size’ vs ‘rate’). Sample size we understand to mean the 32,64,128 etc number, sample rate is the kHz number (44.1kHz, 192kHz etc). There’s plenty about those online that you can read to explain what they are. Essentially, a sample rate of 192kHz (which very very few people work at tbh) will allow for a lower latency than 44.1kHz. But higher sample rates require more CPU power. An overworked CPU might cause clicking audio, which means you might then choose to sacrifice low latency (by upping your sample size) to clear up the audio. Lowering your sample-rate to say 48kHz would increase your latency, but would require less CPU resource, thus allowing you to reduce your sample size to decrease latency. If that all sounds ‘swings and roundabouts’ that’s because ultimately it is. It’s very much a balancing act between what sample rate you want/need to work at, the power of your computer (CPU speed, memory, hard drive capacity), and how much latency you can bear to work with whilst recording. Latency can be completely negated by monitoring your input signal directly from the interface (if that feature is present), however that would mean not hearing any applied plugins to that track whilst recording real-time (of course, you'd hear it upon playback of your recording). Aside from that, can’t really comment too much on the interface, i’m somewhat biased Si
  17. I don’t have any experience of La Bella black tapes, but I have th Gold White Nylons (tapes) on my 5 string Lakland, and I love them. By most accounts they are brighter with more attack than the Black Nylons. They can be a bit ‘clattery’ acoustically, because of the lower tension and the want for a medium/low action, but doesn't translate to live/recorded sound, and actually they sound amazing in those settings. This is them in that bass: Si
  18. Probably about £150 worth of case there. Si
  19. Hi all, This came with my ACG, and whilst they're fantastic bags, I do like my Mono bags! As such, anyone have a Vertigo they're not getting on with and want to swap for an equally quality British equivalent? Can get photos this evening, it's as new, hasn't been out the house, and is this model: https://www.fusion-bags.com/collections/guitar-gig-bags/products/urban-bass-guitar-gig-bag As mentioned in title, only interested in a trade for a Mono Vertigo, happy to discuss cash your way too. Cheers Si
  20. Oh I want it lol. Can't have it though Si
  21. Musician does well for himself by having fun. Branded a nob for no other reason. Makes sense 🙄 Si
  22. Haha, but I have bought plenty from COG, including a T16 Si
  23. Have you talked to Spector directly or the UK distributor Barnes and Mullins? Si
