  1. I'm still a bit confused about how it's powered?!? Only via USB? Or is the USB an output for charging phone? (like the DC7). If I could power this from the Diago PS01, and it's not totally rubbish, it could be a goer......like Rwillet mentioned....for £8 (which I'm skeptical of naturally lol). Cheers Si
  2. Size could be work….but can’t see how it’s powered?! Only via USB?! Wonder if it’s any good. Si
  3. Potentially….and that’s a very kind offer, thanks. I’m intrigued to see how the brackets work if you wouldn’t mind PM’ing me? Cheers Si
  4. That would be the absolute most I’d get away with I think, although presumably there might be a question about heat dissipation if I’m fully enclosing the DC7?! Not that I’d be pushing it very hard. Si
  5. Yeah, I measured everything, and if I added this additional level, I’d have to figure out another storage/transport solution…which I don’t wanna do just at the moment. Si
  6. Hi all, Since selling my Noble, which powered the other 6 pedals on my main board….I’m left requiring a power solution. Here’s the board as it stands, including the space left by the Noble: I’m going to fill some of the space with a Barber Linden EQ, and, if I can swing it, my Schu-Tone FJBOD, something along the lines of this: Which leaves me a rather specific area to squeeze some power in. I have some Cioks power systems being used on other boards, but here, I do have a spare Diago PS01, 3amps of power, typically into a daisy-chain. However, while the Noble power sockets weren’t isolated, I’d like to try and create an isolated setup here. My initial idea was to just velcro two Gigrig Isolators on top of the PS01 and connect them via a power splitter (because the PS01 only has 1 output), so something like…. (black block under the 1st isolator being a placeholder for the PS01). However, turns out that the Isolators need fairly specific and clean powering, either from a Gigrig Distributor (no space, overkill for my use here), or a parallel 9v splitter cable. The latter unfortunately doesn’t seem to exist with the correct connections (female in and two male outs) off-the-shelf. The other option, which is way less elegant, is to get something like a Cioks DC7, and place pedals on top of it, such as: But this setup doesn’t fill me with too much joy if I’m honest. 3rd option is to try and squeeze in an MXR Brick: This is a fairly smart solution, although the thought of using a wall-wart, probably one with quite a short cable (at a guess), really grates with me. So, thoughts? Opinions? - Can I get a parallel 9v splitter cable made for me? Who’s best to do that (and it be proper/solid). - Would I likely hear any additional noise place pedals on top of a power supply if I went that route? - Anyone using the MXR Brick? Any good, is the wallwart and cable length manageable? Additional info: - The board has to be this size to fit in my flight case, where it lives. - I can’t afford anymore height, for the above reason, otherwise I’d be getting a Goodwood Audio Lift and solve all my issues immediately haha. Cheers Si
  7. Shame it’s not their ‘tweener (1.625”) nut….THEN it would be perfect (for me). Beautiful bass though, GLWTS. Si
  8. If anyone is interested, I’m selling this: A lot of bass for the money. Si
  9. Ooo you know me well, it is a JJ passive! But lots of others specs to guess haha Si
  10. I just put in my next order with Lakland…any guesses on spec? 😁 Si
  11. Just plumbed in my new (to me) Grey Stache, sounds so good! Diode options and tone bypass mod! Si
  12. Yeah I absolutely do this….although like a few above, will usually try and have duplicates where finances allow. Saves from pulling boards apart, also gives me a some spares if one of those duplicates goes down! Si
  13. It’s still with me, I haven’t been pushing it as I might get away with not selling it…..but if there was an offer, I’d consider it still. Si
  14. Easily the 3 Schu-Tone 1590a pedals I had arrive. One original Chorus circuit, and two overdrives based on popular bass overdrives (but not available in this small an enclosure). So happy with them. Si
  15. The DG B7K Ultra v2 I had for a short while, really didn’t think much of that at all (in my use-case), was very short-lived. Si
  16. Indonesia, the changeover was 2008/2009 (both factories were Cort interestingly), so this would be a very early Indonesian build, certainly before the changed the neck specs as mentioned. Si
  17. Hi all, Moving on this fantastic 2008 Lakland 55-02 for a couple of different reasons; I’m primarily a 4 string player and I’m looking to order another Lakland US bass. Last in, first out and all that. This bass is stock, so Lakland LH3 pickups/preamp, as well as the more slimmer thickness neck, before they changed to the more recent chunkier necks. The colour is a solid ‘piano’ black, not a black sparkle like more recent 55-02s. The bass is in great condition, no wear to write home about other than the standard swirling you might see on a 17 year old bass. The input jack has a slight intermittent issue which would be a simple fix for anyone with a soldering iron. Typically I would, but only have lead solder and don’t want to have the fumes with a new baby in the house. Weight wise it’s pretty much bang on 9lbs (see photo). Not unusual for Skylines of this era, but fairly rare of the newer ones. These are the only pictures I have of it so far, will grab a few more tomorrow (along with a post-it haha). Cash is king, but might entertain a Yamaha 235 or Sire P5 5 string in part-ex. Don’t really have the means/brain space to ship it at the moment, so pickup/meetup preferred. I’m in Hazlemere, Bucks, basically High Wycombe. £850 inc basic gig bag if needed. Cheers Si
  18. A fair shout haha Si
  19. I can’t think of a brand I’d be less inclined to give my money to! Si
  20. Different tuning though no? Si
  21. That’s a tough one! The Noble board is my main board and has been for years, so that is just dialed in. The Pedaltrain Nano below it is an attempt to capture a similar vibe and sounds in a smaller footprint for when I’m not taking my full rig out (my amps and Noble board typically live in a packed away flight case). The ‘clean’ board top-right is cool, with the CE-5 being one of the early analogue ones (they’re all digital now), old Octaver too, May ‘82. I often use that board with Jocee. The ‘dirt’ board at the bottom is just for fun at this point, but hopefully will get to apply it to some music at some point, lots of big grindy tones. And the HX Stomp is for when I just need any of the above in a tiny, easy-to-transport package…plus a mic-level DI. All of them, but ultimately, it’s all about the Noble board! Si
  22. I’m not quite sure what you mean, but I like it. It’s 5 separate boards really. Si
  23. Yup, that’s my Fuzzrocious BDPG 🙂 Si
