  1. For those interested, this didn’t seem to work, got signal out of both outputs, the amp/cab sim on the ‘Send’ output sounded great, but the main output sounded quiet and thin weirdly?! What did seem to work, and I don’t quite understand why really haha, is putting a Send L block in front of amp/cab sim….. This, for some reason, pushes a signal not effected by amp/cab out of the ‘Send’ output and a signal effected by amp/cab sim out of the main output. Both outputs effected by the effects blocks as you’d want. Si
  2. Hey all, I'm playing with Jocee for the launch of her new album on Weds 14th June at The Camden Club in London: Tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/jocee-album-launch-stitch-in-time-tickets-623000329757 Take a listen to our previous releases, as well as a couple of singles (Yes & Every Cloud) from the new album here: Full album drops on Friday 9th I think. Cheers Si
  3. Hey all, I’m playing about with my HX Stomp and the idea of having a cab sim on a different output going straight to PA, whereas the main output simply goes to my amp as normal, without the cab sim of course. Does the below look like it will work? If so, presumably it’s the Send output on the right side of the pedal that then goes straight to desk if I change the Send/Return L & R to Line level in global settings?: Cheers Si
  4. Thanks for this, very helpful. Cheers Si
  5. Yeah, got that about the blend, but it’s unclear whether the Cab Sim forms part of that, or whether it’s just a blanket effect on the outputs regardless of what the blend is doing. Cheers Si
  6. Thanks very much! The manual isn’t particularly clear about how intensively linked the ‘Sansamp circuit’ is with the Cab sim, as you say, they seem to be one-in-the-same. Cheers Si
  7. Hi all, Quick one about the V1 Sansamp (ie the classic version with no mids) to help confirm my understanding. 1) Does the speaker/cab sim operate across ALL outputs (including the parallel out)? 2) Does the speaker/cab sim operate across all outputs (pending above answer) regardless of footswitch being on or off? Stock photo for version clarification: Cheers Si
  8. Bought a bridge from Ander on Thursday, and it was with me Today (Saturday). Speedy and great comms, thanks ver much ☺️ Si

  10. After a tidy, if the thread can't stay on topic without personal attacks and goading, it will be closed. Cheers Si
  11. Yeah I’ve had plenty of fretted basses with tapewounds, and if you get on with the low tension, they sound awesome! Si

  13. I heard stories of the necks being a bit unstable (not retaining a good setup) with heavier guage strings, and so not great for low tunings. Would be great to see if that is an ongoing issue or was a one-off as they look great to fill the void left by Status (from the graphite neck perspective). Si
  14. Weren’t they typically supposed to be flush with the butt if the neck? Thoughts? Si
  15. Hey all, Just getting rid of some bits I'm not using currently. This is is a Clarett+ 2Pre (ie the very latest version of the 2Pre), great upgrade if you've been recording for a few years. ADAT in and out, so you can even add another channel strip for up to 8 more channels. Comes with everything you need of course, box contents as per new. You'll also be able to register the unit in order to receive the optional free software/plugins etc. The 2Pre is great because you can also bus-power it if you're running a USB-C Mac Book, no power adapter needed (although that is included of course). Perfect working order of course, couple of marks on top and that's it. £270 + £10 postage. Happy to part ex for a Jad Freer CAPO, with cash your way of course. Cheers Si
  16. Solid basses and about a good a 5 string you can get for the money! Also a solid base for upgrading pickups/preamp too. Mine is awesome! Si
  17. Yup, from the mid-60’s to the mid 70’s (around 76 I think), pretty much everything was nitro over poly I believe. Nothing new, Fender are simply talking (marketing?!) about old techniques here. Si
  18. Yeah, the old German Standards didn’t have the two-piece bridge, this looks genuine. Si
  19. Oh I’d be in trouble if this were fretted! GLWTS Si
  20. Phenomenal basses, I have a blacked-out stealth version of this, not quite as light as this one, but still an amazing instrument. GLWTS Si
  21. I think essentially you’re going to get the same high quality, great sounding instrument, but with the ‘B’ width (1.625”) nut, my preference too! Presumably the pickup is voiced slightly differently too, but won’t be too much of a tweak I shouldn’t think. I’d love one of the 70’s Mocha ones they do! Si
  22. Here’s the latest mini board I’ve settled on, primarily for heavy sounds, but it’s so versatile it can quickly and easily serve as a backup to my main board. Fuzzrocious Cat Tail -> HX Stomp -> Sansamp. All powered by a Cioks SOL. Si
  23. Presumably this is an MTD Kingston Saratoga? Si
  24. Looks like the latest news item alludes to the 40th anniversary bass that was somewhat suggested (albeit cryptically) in Rob’s original retirement message. I wonder whether they’re purely in a holding pattern to put those out as a limited run, and then who knows. Si
