  1. This fills me with so much anxiety haha Si
  2. While I appreciate it’s not the spec the OP is looking for at all, just to demonstrate how versatile Jon is, here’s a 30” 5 string he built recently, obviously in the trad Fender tradition. What a cool bass! Si
  3. …any options other than horrendously overpriced Barefoot Buttons? I’m currently using the Mooer plastic knee for standard switches, but they don’t make versions that fit momentary switches….oh and they need to be tall too haha. cheers Si
  4. Just get a Lakland AJ 4 in black, sorted! (Image from Google): Si
  5. I rejigged my secondary/‘fly-board’ after receiving my Schutone replacements for overdrive and chorus: All on a PT Nano and powered by a Cioks Sol. Just need to get a couple of tall pedal toppers for the Schutone pedals now, ones that fit momentary switches (the Mooer toppers don’t). Si
  6. My current three, I added a 55-02 a couple of months ago, but it’s transient I think…..my thinking as of today is that I’ll probably move it on at some point to fund a 55-Dual J Classic. But the 44-PJ is the truth, and the 55-01 with upgraded US Bartolini pups/pre is great too: Si
  7. I’ve just been prompted to change my password, did so, and now when I try to log in, it states that I’ve been “banned temporarily” by the site owner. Which is odd. EDIT: I seem to be logged in now after leaving it for a bit. Weird bug 🤷‍♂️. Si
  8. That’s stunning!! ❤️ Si
  9. That’s not gonna look like a case if I’m making it 🤣 Si
  10. Thanks very much! Si
  11. Nice, love it. I suspected it was a ‘plank’ board and random case, but yes, wanted to check. Do you remember what dimensions you worked to? Si
  12. What’s the board and case please? Lovely little package! Si
  13. Really not sure about this, but I’m saving for a special bass and this is toooo good to have on a rarely used second pedal-board. This is essentially a Noble with a couple of paired down features, no power outlets for other pedals, a single tube driving both the DI & 1/4” outs as opposed to the two tubes of the Noble. But same beautiful tone stack and other features. I’m only looking to recoup what it owes me, which I think is fair seeing as these are not made anymore. Want a Noble at a third of the price, this is your best bet! As new (plus some Velcro on the bottom of course), never gigged, boxed with ‘case candy’ etc. No trades £380 delivered in the UK. Cheers Si

  14. Oh that’s pretty much bang-on as well! Thanks all 🙂 Si
  15. Ooooooo, now we’re cooking with Fuzz! Si
  16. I love that both RATM and Rage Against The Machine are listed ☺️. Whats the band? Would help for people to know. Si
  17. That’s pretty cool, but yeah, would be looking to only carry the Nano and a few cables perhaps. But Dewalt, cool, I’ll take a look in B&Q or something, thanks! Si
  18. Is anyone using an ‘off the shelf’ case for their PT Nano? I’m not looking for a full flight case, more like a photography style case. PT do make a case for the Metro that they cite for the Nano plus extra space…but at £130 or so, that’s more than I want to spend. Cheers Si

I’ve not done any layouts at all since Eagle died a death….sounds like there’s nothing quite like it for us small-time users! Si

Have you got a BOM handy? Will figure out what I need in the meantime! Cheers Si

To be fair, I’m in no rush….unlikely to build it any time soon. So if you’re going to redesign, I’ll wait for one of those…if that suits you of course?! Cheers ☺️ Si
  22. First pass at redoing my second board onto a PT Nano rather than a Nano+, tighter spacing, but I wanted the smaller footprint. The trickier 3 switches in the middle of the board (Tuner/Drive/Chorus) should be much more accessible with he addition of some Barefoot Button ‘Tallboy’ switch toppers (yet to arrive, the standard Mooer ones pictured). Corona Chorus and the 66 are getting swapped out in the next month or so, watch this space. All powered with a Cioks Sol smartly fixed in place with their clamp, very neat setup that! Cheers Si

Ooo, how long will it take you to verify/build one? Si
  24. Are you considering an Elrick NJS5 or a Cort NJS5? (EDIT: Just seen that the tread title says Cort….buf if you had additional budget, read on). Over the years I’ve owned both a DJ5 and an Elrick NJS5, I’ve not played any of the Cort Elrick basses though. While I kinda would expect mostly to be suggesting the DJ5 over the Elrick (Because I’m more of a straight Passive bass fan typically, and separately, I LOVED the DJ4 I owned for a bit too), if I’m honest with myself, I would probably have to recommend the Elrick NJS5 ahead of it (not the Cort I should stress). Yes it did the bright modern thing if you needed it to, but the Bartolini pickups and pre could really warm up as well. Plus passive switch too. If it’s the Cort NJS5 you’re looking at, I can’t comment on that, and so would default to recommending the DJ5. FWIW, my old NJS5 is for sale HERE, not by me, Andy bought it off me for stock. You can hear it on this song in passive mode: Si
  25. Sold Sean some strings, quick payment, no messing around. Thanks very much! Si
