  1. Had this arrive last week. A very close approximation of a Noble (which I have on my main board) for my smaller ‘fly board’: Si
  2. Long-shot bump Si
  3. I bought this for a project that never took off, so it has sat largely unplayed, which is a shame as it’s a lot of bass for the money. This is one for those who like to seriously down-tune. Pretty rare, not least that it’s a 35” 4 string. Niche & Awesome lol. It’s currently strung/tuned in Drop B. Features: - Neck-thru-body construction - 35” scale - Mahogany body - 5-piece maple & walnut neck - Ebony fingerboard - Anniversary inlay - EMG 35-DC/P4 active pickups - Volume & balance controls - EMG B64 active EQ - Black hardware - Grover tuners - ESP BB-604 bridge - 24 XJ frets I’ll get a weight asap but it’s pretty decent in my view. It’s in decent condition, but with it being a satin/matte type finish, there is some play-wear and bumps/dings as you’d expect, including some areas that have ‘glossed-up’ through use. I’ve tried to capture any imperfections below. Comes with a very simple gig bag, and as such would prefer collection/meet-up. I’m in High Wycombe. £375 - Trades and part-exs welcome. What you got? I’d be interested in: - Cioks DC7 + cash to me - Lakland Hollowbody + cash to you. - 2x Gigrig isolators + cash to me But try me on other things too, you never know. Cheers Si Cheers Si

It’s more that I have a pedal with a RB that needs a little tweaking by someone in the know. Si

Does anyone have any experience with programming relay bypasses? Cheets Si
  7. So I’ll put this thread to bed, after playing about with placement, buffer & powering options, the Heaby, as good as it sounds, was still thumping when switched. It would resolve when switched a few times, discharging that DC build up it seems, but then would build up again after a few minutes, which is a non-starter for me. Put my Fuzzdog Green Russian Fuzz back on the board and its switch is always super quiet, only a very mild click when switched. So yeah, done and done 🙂 Cheers Si
  8. Thanks, I’ll take a look. Si
  9. Ah yeah thanks, I’d almost certainly just swap the fuzz, as the pedal in question is only on loan to me currently, so we’ll see 🙂 Cheers Si
  10. TL;DR - Can daisy-chaining power increase switch pop intensity? So, I have the following board: It’s a new build really, and I took it out on a gig last night to test it (haven’t had a chance to test at home, new baby and all that). However, the Heaby fuzz was unusable because of the significant switch pop that was exploding through my speakers if I clicked it on. Now I don’t necessarily think that it’s the Heaby at fault here, I think it might be how I’m powering the board, and wanted to get others advice… …The whole board is being powered by a Cioks DC5, with each pedal receiving 100mA of power, although the following 3 pedals are receiving their 100mA daisy-chained from a single 300mA port: Heaby Russian Fuzz TC Chorus COG 66 Mini So…thoughts? - Should I be changing which pedals are in the 3-way daisy? The Chorus needs 68mA, having an effect on the Fuzz perhaps? - Should I ditch the single 3-way daisy in favor of 2x power splitters? (Ie 4 pedals share 2 ports rather than 3 pedals sharing 1). - Should I suck up getting a DC7 instead? Perhaps none of the above is having an effect on this Heaby switch pop? None of the other pedals were popping, and I swapped the board out for my main one on the gig, which has a COG Fuzz on it at equally high gain…nowhere near as significant a pop. Ramble over, cheers! Si
  11. Has anyone got a spare Cioks doubler cable (ie one power port to two pedals) cable they’re not using?

      LukeFRC

I started typing, but I've got spare current doublers... not double output ones

@LukeFRCAh yeah, I have the current doublers, just need another output doubler haha. Thanks though.

  12. Looking forward to getting this on my secondary ‘fly’ board, essentially doing a similar job as the Noble on my main board (ie Preamp/DI at the end of the chain): Si
  13. Kinda what you get with counterfeit goods 🤷‍♂️ Si

    Semi hollows

All I can tell you is that my mates one is quiet 🤷‍♂️ Si
  15. These are great, even more gnarley than the originals…and that’s saying something! Si
  16. Picked this up recently and, while it’s awesome, it’s not quite the right sound for the application I have in mind. Comes in original box. Product info: https://www.darkglass.com/creation/microtubes-b7k-ultra/ Just to note, this is the latest v2, which includes Aux in, headphone out, and a switchable cab sim on the DI out. The loaded IR is currently a 2x12. £220 inc UK postage. Try me with trades/part ex’s, I’d be particularly interested in a Cioks DC7. Cheers Si
  17. They’d be easier to get about huh 😂 Si
  18. I’m selling one in the classifieds…because I have 3 haha (kinda 4 actually, but the 4th is a P/J). Si
  19. I just discovered a band called Green Druid (which I’m assuming is a play on Orange Goblin). Really enjoying this album: Si
  20. I don’t know for sure, but I’m pretty sure they were all Ash by this point, could be wrong though. Si
  21. Bit of a feeler, but needs must somewhat. I may withdraw though. 1978 Precision bass in a nicely aged Olympic White: - Original finish throughout - Original pickup & pots - Original scratchplate - Original hardware other than knobs, which are RI replacements - Original thumbrest is included - Pickup ashtray cover is missing. - B width neck - 9.5lbs - Lovely dark rosewood board - Tight neck pocket - Simple gig bag included or you can take a Reunion Blues gigbag for an extra £50 I’d prefer collection/meet-up if at all possible. Lovely bass, in decent condition for the age, sounds awesome and is a good weight for the era. Only interested in an MXR M81 Preamp as a part-ex. Ignore the saddles and janky 80’s piezo here, original saddles are fitted now. Cheers Si

    Semi hollows

Don’t totally discount the HB, a friend of mine, who is a particularly discerning producer with a LOT of vintage guitars, swears by his…gets some great sounds out of it with some Tapewounds. I’ve played it, it’s quiet, so I’d suggest others issue are purely because they are cheap and prone to QA issues, not because they are all inherently noisy. Si
  23. For me, this largely hinges on what power module is being used. We’ll see. Tbf, I like the look of the prototype haha. Si
  24. Cute little ‘clean’ board (ie no dirt) to make some giggling use of my 3Leaf Enabler, previously reduced to headphone amp duties at home. Si
