  1. Wish they did the Pulse 2 in gloss though. Everything else is great, but that finish is just going to get trashed pretty quickly for many. Yes one can 'be careful'......but at some point, that won't be enough. Si
  2. Each to their own, but you say "basic", I say "well thought-out and minus all the guff you see on many amps nowadays". Si
  3. Very excited by this! Slightly smaller than a Markbass head, but Trickfish voicing (Mike Pope heritage I believe), and just all around nice bunch of people! https://www.trickfishamps.com/shop/bullhead-mini-500/ Really want my hands on one asap!! Si

    Why? oh Why?

    So don't buy it Si
  5. Skyline 55-64’s have been discontinued for a few years have they not?! Could easily order a US custom though. Si
  6. Ah, part of the modded 55-01 club I see ☺️ Si
  7. Bartolini, end of! Then change the pickup to Barts too haha Si
  8. Sign him up to a heap of magazines and junk to that mail haha Si
  9. Working at an MI company that is probably half the size (if not smaller) than Fender (assuming that Gretsch is in no-way autonomous as a brand), it’s VERY difficult to believe that a spec change wouldn’t include the same stringent checks on product page details and copy as we go through. If that process has failed, but it’s a simple oversight, I wonder if it still makes them somewhat liable to supply all who have purchased (who care) replacement humbuckers should they admit to said oversight. If they admit to purposefully misleading (which they won’t), then it’s severe brand sentiment damage. Either way, not ideal, and most likely why they’re taking some time to respond. Si

Might I ask what your process was for stripping and polishing the enclosure? Also what switching have you got going on for the circuit? Thanks Si
  11. Only when I first started. Lowest I got down to during the last few years was 3, which was actually quite enjoyable. Currently at 7 and they all get used for various projects and/or recording. Si
  12. Very cool, Lakland make fantastic basses. Love the look of this one too. Si
  13. Thanks for that, really helpful. Noted on the bridge, I imagine that might effect me due to the low tuning. Cheers Si
  14. What is the general consensus on the (relatively) newer SR300E basses? With the Powerspan pickups. I'm looking for a cheap but solid bass for a metal project that might happen (ie looking to reduce outlay if it doesn't happen). I'll be using it for a drop tuning, like drop C#. Thanks Si
  15. Eugh, I really want a Eurobolt 4 in black!! Might have to settle for a Legend or maybe a Rebop if I can find a used one. Si
  16. Yeah I did a tour of the workshop in person back in 2015 when my MG Standard 5 was nearly ready (I got to see it on the rack waiting for hardware and pickups etc). Can confirm that everyone was as accommodating and great to chat to as they come across in the video! Really great company. Si
  17. Yeah I didn't go because of geography, 4 hour trip each way wasn't going to happen I'm afraid. Si
  18. @Andyjr1515had some I think?! For @Happy Jack’s recent neck build. Si
  19. SOLD Amazing preamp pedal, and in the newer/better fabricated enclosure. To the point where I picked this up from the first batch of new enclosures at Winter NAMM 2020, with the serial noted on the box as NAMM001. Gigged once, other than that it’s been stashed away as I’ve simply been using my Noble for everything. As such, aside from the velcro on the base, you’re getting an ‘as new’ pedal, boxed, manual, stickers etc etc. Info from the website: The Minnow is a high quality, low noise bass preamp DI pedal equipped with our Bullhead EQ section. This single channel Bullhead preamp features shelving EQ’s for the BASS and TREBLE controls and variable band pass EQ’s for the LO MID and HI MID. A selectable mid frequency for both LO MID and HI MID controls provide complete control over the midrange. We’ve also added HI SHIFT to the treble frequency to further tune the cut/boost capability of the treble control. In addition, the Minnow preamp includes a tuner out for silent tuning and a balanced XLR output for use as a DI, great for both live and studio use. 20. Back up for sale with some specific part-ex options. Let’s get me a Spector 😁 Si
  21. I’d say that’s equally down to the guitar tech, they’d have all the guitar changes written down too. Oh well, all of a 10 second divert. Si
